I think KFC has some big improvements to make!
if it’s to get anywhere near as close to the quality meal I’ve just tried for the first time. Cajun Fries. Wicked ( they converted me) 3 piece chicken meal ( not greasy) Bubbly Crispy batter. Large Pepsi with a wicked no straw needed lid! ( who’d thought of that eh? )
I was impressed! Well done Meadowhall Popeyes. Its staff. Don't forget, and all those Louisiana Chickens. From the moment I stepped into Meadowhall Popeyes, I could sense the vibrant energy that filled the air. The tantalizing aroma of the Louisiana spices wafted through the restaurant, instantly making my mouth water.! On the one out of 6! Touchscreens. So easy to use!
As I approached the counter, I was greeted by a group of friendly and attentive staff members. They wore bright smiles on their faces and seemed genuinely passionate about their work. Their warm welcome made me feel right at home, as if I was stepping into a cozy Louisiana kitchen.
I Then eagerly awaiting the moment when I would sink my teeth into the famous Louisiana chicken. The staff efficiently prepared my meal, ensuring that every piece of chicken was cooked to perfection. The sizzling sound from the frying pans and the crackling of the crispy coating added to the anticipation.
Finally, my meal was ready, and I couldn't contain my excitement. As I took my first bite, I was transported to a world of flavors and textures that danced on my taste buds. The chicken was juicy and tender, while the blend of spices provided a delightful kick. It was evident that each piece of chicken had been lovingly prepared with great attention to...
Read moreWe visited Popeyes just after it opened and it was obvious they had teething issues as it took them 25mins to bring out our order. Not a great experience.
Last week, we decided to give it another try in the hope that things had settled down. I ordered the new buffalo chicken burger meal and rest of family had a 6 tender chicken share meal. Service was prompt, which was good, however the quality of the 6 tenders was unacceptable. We were basically given a small chicken wing, a weird looking leg with barely any chicken on it (see picture) and 4 standard sized pieces. When I order 6 tenders I expect them all to be roughly the same size as per the picture on the ordering terminals. I took the leg to the counter to swap for a normal sized piece and I was told in no uncertain terms by the shift manager that the 6 tender piece meal includes 3 small pieces and 6 standard sized pieces, so i should lump it. This is very misleading as nowhere in the meal description on the terminal is this 'fact' mentioned (I checked). I also didn't care for her attitude at attempting to argue with me. After persisting with my complaint she begrudgingly gave me another chicken tender. That's unacceptable customer service in my book! I dont like being ripped off! If you're being stingy with your chicken then have the decency and honesty to be open about it on your menu so that customers know what to expect.
Until things change, we won't be bothering to visit this outfit again. I recommend people avoid this place for...
Read moreVisited the place today, and after hearing nothing but rave reviews from people, found myself incredibly disappointed.
Ordered using those touch screen menu's and the experience wasn't as straightforward as, say, a McDonald's. The system missed off a burger, which we didn't realise until our food was brought over (I overheard another chap with the same issue telling one of the waiters that he had pressed it on the board (but it clearly didn't register, like part of my order).
Staff were so disinterested (to be fair to them, it was busy) but when approached and asked about something, the girl just mumbled and mis-directed me to the drinks machines with three cups instead of four (as was shown on the receipt).
The seating clearly isn't enough to cope with the sheer amount of people. Having to eat with other customers stood near your table watching you like a hawk and waiting for you to finish so they can take the table after you isn't exactly a great experience.
The hot wings were bog standard and not hot in the slightest. Chicken was disappointing. The chicken wrap was decent, the plain chicken burger was good and the Creole red bean burger was okay. Glad they had something for the veggie/vegans as one of the group didn't eat meat. Had to beg the server for ketchup!
For the amount of money we spent, it wasn't worth it. Out of the group of four, one said she'd likely...
