Favorite Chicken Slough — Restaurant in Slough

Ever since the change of ownership a decade ago it has been a slow downward spiral for this place. I have been a customer for over 20 years, I won’t be visiting anymore.

Portions have shrunk considerably in size. The fries now on par with McDonalds portion sizes.

50p for sauces (at time of review).

No longer provide fountain drinks (at time of review).

Will charge for cheese on chips and often forget to add the cheese. I’ve paid and received plain chips multiple times.

A fillet burger meal with one piece of chicken and a single sauce will now easily set you back over £11 (at time of review).

They have changed their supplier of chips. They no longer have the same taste that has remained the ‘Favourites’ staple taste for decades!

They have reluctantly allowed customers to sit in the dessert section to eat (a dessert parlour nobody wanted or frequents). Personally, I think the partition lost them a lot of business.

Knowing what it once was and what it has now become makes ordering from them an extremely unfulfilling experience. So, going forward I...

AVOID this SCAM of a chicken shop. If you want your money robbed and want to eat oily pink chicken, feel free!!!

You need to take some notes and training from Kilburn Favourites! You leave a bad name for the brand favourites!

I pointed at the shop poster £5.50 meal, and asked for specific type of 2 pieces of chicken (as most people have a preference either leg, breast, etc)

The staff worker who was wearing a black/dark shirt tried to charge me £6.50 for a meal that’s blatantly £5.50 on the shop poster. He told his colleague ‘6.50, 6.50, he want breast piece’ but thankfully his colleague said ‘no it’s 5.50’. How dare you try charge me £1 extra because I have a preference of the type of chicken? I have been eating at chicken shops and favourites (in other locations) for over 25 years and have never tried to be scammed like that.

I remember when i was a kid i always loved this place because they use to have nice food, reasonable price, The staff go beyond customer service. They always made me laugh every time i go there with my family.
