On Saturday evening me and 3 members of my family were looking to celebrate a recent exam that I passed and thought we would try out this local Turkish restaurant. However the evening was completely ruined after terrible customer service and an extremely rude waitor.

We had to wait such a long time to order drinks and food. After submitting our main order we realized we forgot to order our starter, so two minutes later I ran to the bar to add this to the order. We were advised that this would put us to the back of the queue, however as we only ordered a few minutes before we weren’t aware that this would result in such a long wait and a terrible night. We were waiting over an hour for our food and had to ask several times when it would arrive.

My mum also asked the waitor when our food would arrive and was met with laughing and snickering as she was communicating our situation and him being extremely rude to her. Never in my life have I witnessed someone talk to my mum like this. I immediately got up and went to the bar to negotiate paying for the little we had actually received so we could leave as I was so disgusted with the way our waitor spoke to my mum. However all we got was telling to sit down and a measly desert platter to share (on the House).

In the end we had two beers and our starter taken off the bill as consolidation for our evening which was absolutely pathetic. We just ended up paying as we wanted to get out of this awful restaurant as soon as possible.

I will never ever return to this restaurant due to the poor customer service and lack of sympathy to our situation, and would advise any one else to...

Positive: from the outside the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and looked nice with the decorations.

Negatives: I do not normally give awful ratings but honestly we had a very bad experience. We were recommended by friends but I would not come here again or recommend to others. Overall the food was bland, burnt and overpriced.

Atmosphere: where we were sat it was very dark to the point we had to use our phone torch to look at the menu. There were a few tables that did this. I asked for some additional lamps/lights but was ignored by the staff. We could not see what we were eating which is never a good sign. The ambience just wasn’t there due to the beaming blue neon light from the bar. You can see how dark it was as I had to use flash to take a picture of the food.

Food: we had the Zara Special Menu Feast. Which involved mixed starters and had the mix meat (chicken and lamb). The starter was mediocre which was dips with pitta but the pitta was very thick. The meat was dry and very burnt. The chips were soggy and there was not a lot of flavour. There was a lot of food left on all of our plates.

Service: Our drinks were slow and came after our starter. The staff weren’t attentive and ignored our issues. I was originally going to order the bigger platter for two but the waiter said to order separately therefore playing more per person ( we were a...

Disappointing after all the reviews. We can here for an early supper with my family and whilst staff were friendly and nice, they were not attentive. We ordered a mixed hot/cold meze starter, Yavash Meat Platter and Tuvak Salatasi. The flavour was nice but our meat platter was cold. Not just warm, cold. Because we had two children under the age of 4, getting out to eat is hard enough, having to wait an extra 10-15 minutes to get our main served would have caused a riot! The 'lamp chop' that came with this platter was a discrace, it hardly had any meat on it and was mostly bone. When we paid the bill and were asked how it was, l explained that the meat platter was cold, which l was told it is because the skewers were upright and therefore the meat cools quickly and by the time you serve it does get cold. A very poor excuse when the truth is that our main must have been sitting ready waiting for a considerable time before arriving at our table. If that was not the case then our chicken dish would have also been cold, which it was not. I had to get up on three occasions, to ask for another beer, get a plate and get some tissues. Overall a poor experience when the other reviews rave about it. I have been to a few better Turkish restaurants in Leicester and would recommend you visit. We won't be...

If you enjoy fresh authentic Turkish food, this is one to try.. prepare for a feast! Great selection on the menu and not so many dishes that you get lost for hours choosing your order. I wanted to try it all so we went for the Hot & Cold meze. The platter is loaded with falafel, halloumi, sausage etc. I do recommend this if you want to really tickle your taste buds. The dips and home made breads are particularly good! Not that we needed it after our starter, we had mains courses of chicken which was well presented through skewers with home made breads, tasty rice and fresh salad. The portions here are big, so ensure you are hungry prior to visiting. The prices are very reasonable, we paid just over £50 for a big sharing starter, 2 mains and 2 drinks. The food is fresh and tasty, the staff are friendly and the decor delivers an authentic vibe. The only reason I have not given more stars is because the rice was cold in both our mains the second they hit the table. I am confident the restaurant would have addressed this, but I was too full to care at this point. One to try!

Zada Turkish Restaurant Disappointing Experience at Zada Turkish Restaurant We were looking forward to dining at Zada, but unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We planned to order a sharing platter, but somehow, we ended up with one each! The waiter knew very well that we intended to share, but he confused us by suggesting we order "this and that," leading to unnecessary additional dishes. He wasn’t forthcoming at all and left us feeling ultimately duped. The food was average – nothing unique or memorable, certainly not worth our price. We felt ripped off and left the restaurant feeling more frustrated than satisfied. I would not recommend Zada based on this experience, as it needed more transparency and left a bad taste in more ways than one!
