Thai Corner — Restaurant in South Oxfordshire

We have just been here. I will not go again. The entrance smells of damp and the whole place clearly has not been cleaned in a while. The carpet is sticky and there is a pile of dead insects and cobwebs in the corner of the toilet. The cutlery and crockery was dirty - maybe rinsed under a tap rather than placed in a dishwasher. Some of the food was good - the red Thai curry, stuffed chicken wings and dim sum were great but the other 3 main courses were very poor - the noodles sticky and rubbery, the sauce poorly balanced and the meat/prawns over cooked. Went out for a dinner for 2. We were seated in a private little alcove for the two of us. We waited a while for service as the restaurant was busy. When we were served the servers were friendly and attentive. The delivery of the food took a while but once the food arrived all was forgiven. The starters were delicious and left you wanting for more, the mains were wonderful too. We didn't have dessert as we were full from the starters and mains but would highly recommend the Thai Corner. We were camping at bridge Villa on the other side the bridge, we were walking past and my son picked up on the lovely food smell coming through the extractor vent. On the way back to the campsite, I called and booked a table. The restaurant is down in a cellar and is very quaint. We found the service very good and the food excellent. We even spoke to a local who commented on how nice the food was and that he had not been there in a while. I david you should use it or loose. He agreed.
