Second Visit to This Portuguese Restaurant 🇵🇹!!

We came as a group of 4. The first waiter was impolite. Quickly cutting us off when speaking to add that all food should be ordered at once. Sensible advice but needs to work on the way he interjects. No soft speaking skills. He just wants to take your order and get out of there. The second waiter was nice and he continued to serve us through the meal. The food was splendid and thoroughly cooked. The sweet potato fries were amazing and melted in the mouth. The ribs were super tasty. They didn't have Tabasco sauce but had an alternative which was just as nice. It was sriracha I think but not sure. The Bolo do caco mocktail was horrible. At first I thought it was me but then my friend group had a sip as well and agreed it wasn't of good taste. The Sumol passion fruit which is a canned drink is so much better. I would advise not to try any custom drinks here. The desserts were fabulous. There was a display tray of all the desserts and when we asked for a menu of desserts, they just brought the tray over to us, talked us through the options and we picked three different ones. The Pastel de Nata tasted great with cinnamon. The other desserts were great as well. 9/10 will visit again if in town.

We eat at Diegos on special occasions we have visited many times over year. But our visit last night was uncomfortable to say the least. Waiter was lovely Some off the food was cold when we first ordered we all had ribs. So when complained they where warmed up. As it was all you eat ribs the same happened when more ribs where ordered. Cocktails where ok but not the best. The chef stood and starred us out like we were freaks for complaining. When we came to pay I explained again that ribs where cold which is why they left on the table. They offer us shots.. of Martini ??? Who drinks Martini as a shot 🤣. So after years off visiting we won't be going again which makes me feel terrible as all business are struggling but when your food is bad and nothing is done what do you do. We politely paid £304 and left !!

We highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!! The staff here are very warm, friendly, welcoming, professional and efficient. This to us is almost as important as the food. We decided to book Diego's for my son's 21st birthday and upon booking they asked whether there would be any children in our party. When I said that there would, the staff advised me that there would be quite a wait for food (around 35 minutes) which I considered very reasonable considering there would be 18 of us in our party and I appreciated them being upfront. When we arrived we were greeted straight away with a very friendly and genuine welcome. The service was very efficient and our meals were very delicious and piping hot. Every single person in our party throughly enjoyed their meals. We ordered alot of different options. Meat courses, vegetarian and vegan, several different sides, starters etc and we couldn't fault any of it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxed and the staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us. They even asked for my son's name and sang happy birthday to him when they brought his cake out. A big thank you to the staff here for helping to make my son's birthday special. Keep up the good work. We'll...
