Pure Cocoa Fine Chocolates — Restaurant in Stockport

We were visiting from another part of the uk to see a very poorly family member & came across this Chocolatier shopb& cafe. The cafe itself was clean, bright and had plenty of room. There is a good selection of hot chocolate options as well as various other drinks & food products. I was welcomed by such lovely,friendly, and helpful staff. Didn't have anything from the cafe itself but purchased various chocolate products, including the beautifully made individual chocolates. Up to now, the ones we have had are delicious. Also Very reasonably priced for an independent Chocolatier, which is a bonus. We believe that Although you pay a little more, we always prefer to purchase from a small independent proper Chocolatier (and not from large companies who mass produce their items) because the quality and time put into these chocolate products is far better. Popped in recently with a friend for a toasted teacake and a coffee. Also call in a couple of times a year for birthday and Christmas gifts, most recently to pick out some chocolate mice, dinosaurs and dogs for my cousin's 2-year-old.

This recent catch-up with a friend was disappointing: I asked for a glass of tap water after my coffee and teacake only to be told "we don't give out water here, but you can buy a bottle". I'll just note again here that I was a paying customer. I'm also on medication that makes me pretty much constantly thirsty and was on day 3 of a migraine.

No explanation was given when I brought it up at the till so I grudgingly bought some water because I was very thirsty.

As the owner of two businesses myself, I don't think I could ever bring myself to treat customers - or in fact, anyone - with such a lack of humanity. Suffice to say that on principle, I won't be returning. Instead I'll take the longer journey to Henshaw's House of Cocoa in Cheadle, which is run by a lovely couple,...

Such a cool cafe with really helpful friendly staff! I was searching for some vegan chocolates and the man that served me was so knowledgeable and knew exactly which were vegan and which weren't! I got two small chocolates to enjoy alongside my coffee and they were delicious! I liked that they had a good selection of different plant milks to add too the coffee! Nice interior, I find the location a bit random but I'm not from the area so I dont think I can comment too...
