Telve — Restaurant in Stockport

Wonderfully accommodating! I’m disabled (in an electric wheelchair) the staff are ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC at helping me when ever I need it and at just making it a more pleasant experience... which s difficult to find!

Upon arrival I was excited to try what the menu had on offer. There’s nothing like a cafe on a Sunday morning after a long night.

Sadly my experience wasn’t a positive one. The food took so long to come out. There was another table where a child started crying because it took so long. They left. To be honest that child just merely reflected how I felt.

When the food did come out the disappointment didn’t stop there. I ordered the Penne meatballs, the pasta to meatball ratio wasn’t good. Four meatballs to so much pasta made the meal feel like I was just eating a bunch of pasta. It was also a little cold and just not that tasty.

My brother in law (who looked just as upset as that crying child) ordered a peri peri chicken but was served a Cajun chicken instead. At this point he was just happy there was food in front of him.

My mother in law ordered a lasagne which wasn’t what she got. So she had to wait even further till she got her meal.

The staff were very apologetic after the mistake and the chef came out and apologised again. The other staff were also very friendly and pleasant.

I would be willing to try this place again and give them the benefit of the doubt. But maybe call in three days in advance so my food will arrive on time.

P.s The fries...

Have visited the Cafe / Restaurant / Coffee house on a couple of occasions, both visits have been pleasurable. I have had two different coffees on my visits and both times the coffee has been exceptional; when served my coffee has been hot, not like some places where you are served a lukewarm drink. I cannot comment as yet on the food, however I will be visiting again in the near future for a bite to eat; I will then update my review.

The ambiance of the place is very good even when the place is not busy; it has a very good feel. I would also like to point out that the Customer Relations and reception when entering the cafeteria is first class in particular Lauryn who looked after me on my last visit. Lauryn is an asset to the business.

A judgement call on my first two visits for the establishment I would rate at 5 stars. An update on my review will be made after I have sampled...
