Because we questioned this they refused to serve us. Not as if we are youngsters, I am 64, my wife 62. Absolutely madness. Can anyone tell me another pub that serves drinks in the bar in plastic glasses?

Genuinely one of those magical experiences where you just happen upon the exact right pub at the exact right time. What can I say? The staff here are wonderful. The door staff are perfect. Everyone here is there to have a good time. Nostalgia is here in abundance and not only are they ready for newcomers, they welcome them. To everyone of stockport, I salute you. And everyone who may be visiting, I say, come here right away. Experience the welcome and wonderfulness that my friends and I did this...

The Egerton Arms was ok. Its a general pub. Cheaper than some other places in Stockport for drinks, had a dj on but music was deafening and over 9 hours later my ears are ringing and that made it hard to say anything to friends when out.

It was extremely crowded which I felt personally was a bit too much with the pandemic despite it now being legal it felt uncomfortable at times.

Toilets were pretty decent for a pub tho and smoking area is ok with fake grass and a heater.

Staff were polite...

Well it's been a few years since I was last here and what a difference... New landlords have got rid of the idiots and trouble makers,new decor,new layout and good prices at the bar. Landlady is on the ball and doesn't take and messing about. When we went some idiot a started chanting football songs.she dealt with it right away and rightly so. Will definitely come back again now. Keep up the good work...
