The park makes the most of its hilly terrain with a series of large slides dotted around the park. At the bottom of the hill you can find a large football pitch, along with a small children's play area. At the top, a wide path and benches linking the back roads of Edgeley to the main road towards Central Stockport.
Running up through the centre of the park is a staircase, with a path slowly sloping upwards weaving in and out of the stairway to provide several ways to move up and down the hill.
You can also find The Elephant; a curious red stone rock formation, facing a small wooded area which contains a path taking you towards Stockport Pyramid and the various routes along the River Mersey which can be found there.
There is no on-site parking for the area, but it's decent enough for dog walks and to take the kids...
Read moreI took my 17 month old here today and it was a horrible experience as much as parks go. Adults smoking weed right near the play area. They had young children too and were smoking it infront of them. A little girl of there's (young enough to still have a dummy) i noticed was playing with their paraphernalia. Litter everywhere around the park. My boy was playing where the abacus is on the play frame which requires you to kneel down and there was all smashed glass from bottles underneath there. What appeared to be sick all down one slide. Older girls playing music from their phones loudly on the play area for young children and littering. It's sad really as the play area is really good and the space is great but the people I saw there and to my mind the people that frequent it,...
