The Scotch Egg — Restaurant in Stockport

There were a few problems with our order and one which generated a complaint such as it showing up as delivered for over half an hour before it was (this was on the Just Eat platform) and this led to a lot of frustration and a refund request via JE (which I have immediately emailed them and asked them to totally disregard my refund request and explained that my husband and I had been convinced that our order had gone to a similar address near here which has happened before. It also led to a review which I have asked Just Eat to remove and not publish as it was no longer accurate as it was along the same lines as the reason for the refund request).

I'm doing this review in case Just Eat don't listen and this is a genuine review of The Scotch Egg - a review I would have written if the mishap with the delivery falsely saying "delivered" hadn't occured.

Firstly, I'd like to say the lady I was speaking to, as the order finally arrived, was so lovely and patient and understanding and we both laughed at the fact the order arrived as I was talking to her - she gets 5 stars!

The food was actually lovely, plentiful and still hot, which can be quite hard to do with cooked breakfasts as they tend to cool quickly and if I'm honest, there was so much, neither my husband nor I could eat it all.

I'm not going to comment on delivery as there was obviously a glitch and that could have been Just Eat. It did end up taking around an hour and a half - 2 hours from ordering but that would not have been a problem if the tracking hadn't falsely said that it had been delivered half and hour before it was.

Well, going off of the worst reviews for this place, and also the fact that this closed an hour earlier to when it said it would when I tried to visit the other day (meaning I couldn’t)…. I actually really enjoyed my breakfast today! One of the best veggie breakfasts that I’ve had with great portions for £7.50! I actually way preferred it here to Sivori's in Edgeley

Also I was served much quicker than I have been in any other cafe recently so hats...

We recently started work nearby and didn't want Macdonald's, so tried this place ....wow...large menu, stuck for choice. This place has bad reviews on just eat...but for the sit in service a big thumbs up... Try for yourself...we will be back.
