Rack — Restaurant in Stockport

I am never ever the type to write reviews but honestly I was so disappointed after getting takeout from Rack today. I ordered a grilled cheese, a vegan sausage bagel and some hash brown bites, which came to £18. The instagram is so deceiving, unless I genuinely just got a one off bad experience, but the food looked nothing like it. The grilled cheese was hard, rubbery, almost like not real food. The sourdough bread was rock hard (yes I know it is when its toasted) but it was inedible. I had one bite. The vegan bagel was sopping with grease (I dont understand how) and wasnt what we wanted. The hash brown bites were actually okay, except they were meant to be salt & pepper (i found 1 bit of onion in the whole box).

I want to say the staff who served me were polite and friendly but the food is just not on. I will never be returning to Rack and have already told people to avoid it who have been...

Really friendly sandwich shop. The people who served us, were super friendly and chatted about our order.

All had cheese toasties. I had the vegan french onion, another had the french onion and Ruben. Everyone enjoyed their toastie.

I would say my vegan was tasty but the more I ate it for my personal preference it got a bit too sweet for me. The caramelised onion and their homemade vegan cheese, which was delicious and had a sweet coconut taste. Overall I think it was tasty, I got some chilli sauce which helped me and the taste buds. Done in a good sourdough.

Next time will try their sandwiches but really looking forward to their hash browns! Decent vegan options.

Husband had a coffee, which they get their beans from Kickback coffee ( which is one of his favourite coffee spots).

Tried to have a Samosa Chaat sandwich here based on the good reviews. There were maybe four people in when I arrived with plenty of time for my train. Waited fifteen minutes with no feedback on how long it would be. They were mostly dealing with advance orders, not serving the people who had come into the shop. Chased the sandwich twice but ended up having to leave, without my sandwich. If it's going to take nearly 20 minutes for a takeaway sandwich you really need to tell people. Totally ridiculous. You...
