Food was nice , Sides came quickly, only downside was the flat pint of carling ughh it didn't taste good. But don't like to complain or take things back and it still went down so I'll just try something else next time maybe a gin! . Service from staff was great and they welcomed us and took us to a table for 6 right away and with no booking. Tables were clean and tidy. Shout of to the staff member working today named NIKA she was lovely and smiley and welcoming to us and the children too , and was non stop hard working the whole time and she helped us sort a problem with the toy machine that was broken and gave my son who's got autism a toy from the bag to calm him from loosing his coin with no issue at all so Thank you nika For making my sons day and visit nice aswell as ours! This makes it so much better for us to visit places with staff who understand 🙂🙂

Visited today with my daughter and my friend for a birthday celebration. Booked a table in the family area and glad we did as all the tables were reserved. Went to the bar and placed my order, small carvery for me (charged at weekend rates due to the bank holiday) and Easter kids eat free main for my daughter. My friend ordered a regular carvery. Had already been told there was a problem with cooking the beef, and it wouldn't be available till 12.30pm. As we weren't fussed about having beef, we both opted for the turkey and gammon, with plenty of vegetables. My only complaint with the carvery was that the Yorkshire pudding was cold. My daughter had chicken nuggets, chips, and vegetable sticks. This came out promptly and was piping hot. For dessert, my daughter wanted an ice cream cone. On ordering, I was told no cones were available as there is no allergy information. So she ended up having it in a tub. We did get a flake as an extra. As it was my friends birthday we decided to have a cakeaway. She had already been told there were no boxes or bags available, but they could wrap up the cake to take home if ordered as a dessert. Went to order and was told no cakes available. I pointed to the fridge and was told they're fake. Unbelievable!! The girl did then say the cakes were getting prepared and would be ready later. My daughter went to play in the under 5 area, which clearly had older children in there running wild and was very run down. She wanted to use the grabber machine. However, it didn't work as expected. A lovely lady did refund us and then watched it malfunction. She then offered us a few toys as compensation. One happy daughter. On leaving, I visited the toilet, and both hand soaps were empty. Again, I reported this to the same lady. What I will say is, the food is decent, the staff are great, but the venue needs a refurbishment, it looks dated. To not have signature cakes available on Easter Friday is shocking. This was one of our main reasons for choosing to eat here. I haven't visited in many years, and sadly, I don't think I will be back anytime soon.

We ordered 2 dirty burgers for the kids which were fine, and 2 carverys for me and my wife to find out after paying that they had no mash or roast potatoes but they had put chips out, who in the right mind has chips on a carvery? It wouldn't have been a problem if they informed us before we paid. So we ordered my wife a burger meal and me a mixed grill it took another 30 mins to come out and when it did rhe burger looked like it was roadkill and the mixed grill was terrible for £16. I approached the manager to complain for his response to be 'I'm not working' no one else came over to ask what the problem was. Definitely won't be returning as this is the 3rd bad experience we've had here now.... GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! Edit.. (1) no, we most definitely weren't told there were no mash or roast potatoes beforehand because we wouldn't have ordered a carvery. (2) Yes, you were eating when I approached you but didn't notice until I asked to speak to you as your food was hidden behind your laptop and paperwork you were doing at the time. (4) No, you didn't point me to anyone else let alone the duty manager on shift. (5) we waited 20 mins to reorder other food... don't be a liar you would think you'd be less unprofessional seen as you're a manager

I had a Smokey bacon and cheese burger, when it arrived as shown in the video there was half a bacon rasher on my burger, I did ask a server if it was possible to get a little more bacon on my burger and they responded with “you have to pay more for that” the burger bun was very dry and the burger it’s self was dry too, in all I wouldn’t go again. As it was a Sunday we were expecting a large queue for the carvery but what we weren’t expecting was the queue to be that long lot affected being able to move around the building and get to the bar. If I wanted a cheese burger I would have order it not payed an extra £2 for half a slice of bacon that seemed as if it had been on the fridge for a week prior to serving there was barely any bacon it seemed to be all fat. The only thing worth ordering on the menu is the carvery everything else seemed to be half arsed.

This is an excellent spot to indulge in a carvery, whether you're visiting the nearby retail park or if you reside in the area. They offer a variety of carvery classics, as well as a pub menu, but I personally chose the carvery option. The vegetables were delightful and flavorful, and they served a generous portion of meat. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the wine glasses was a disappointment. It was evident that they had been quickly washed and there were old water marks on the glass. Although I'm certain they would have replaced it if I had mentioned it, it should not have been served in that condition in the first place. It's a shame because everything else was perfect. A helpful tip is to check the Greene King app to see if they have any offers or promotion codes that could benefit you.

Came here on 1/5 for a nice dinner. (We have been here before and it was lovely). I had carvery and the wife had curry. I went up for my carvery to get the smallest amount of meat I have ever gotten with a carvery. The stuffing tasted uncooked (like mush) and the carrots were rock solid. After waiting 40 minutes for a curry that had no rice no naan bread and no onion Bhargi’s and no mango chutney I wasn’t sure what we had paid for. £10 something for curry and a few chips. What a joke! There was a 20 minute wait at the bar and got served my wife’s drink with a glass that looked like it had never been washed. No ice either. Sat in a corner of the restaurant were every single table had leftovers just sitting there (which are probably still there) attracting flies. DISGUSTING!!!
