20 piece salmon sushi box: I ordered the 20 piece salmon box to takeaway, I was a bit curious if the grey/brown on the salmon but then I realised that’s just what the colour is of the fat close to the skin. Very lovely sushi. Prepared fresh in houses
Soft shell crab hand roll: Wow! That was amazing! I wish the sauce came separately in a little pot also the sauce was very good however there was a lot of sauce at the top and none at the bottom. But wow that was very tasty I ordered this not knowing if I would like it or not. (I love to order at least one new thing when I eat out or go shopping etc) for £4 I could grab one of those and be so happy for dinner. Very tasty!
Staff: Staff were also lovely and friendly. Each staff member was doing something and they looked to be working in unison as a team.
Pricing: Prices are great considering you can easily spend £6-8 on Lidl etc sushi. I spent £14 on a 20 piece salmon box and a soft shell crab hand roll. Very good price.
Suggestions: I took my sushi away to eat back at home if I only had one suggestion it would be for a spare extra pot like the ones you put ginger in for the soy sauce maybe :)
This place exceeded my expectations, for sure there is better sushi out there. But for the price it satisfies the itch and I can’t wait to eat in next time and try hot food with...
Read moreStarting with the review - Absolutely terrible, pieces are inconsistent, the rice & ingredients are horrid.
The most important ingredient; rice, it's bland in a sense that it's lacking vinegar, sugar and salt. It hasn't been cooked properly or they are mixing fresh rice with old rice as the rice is mushy with hard grains hinting of undercooked rice combined with old rice.
Salmon box: the salmon has not been sliced properly, there is still a layer of fat which can be seen from the brown on the salmon. The fat is supposed to be cut out.
Assorted iso box: The makis are inconsistent and whoever is rolling them is incompetent, the rice is supposed to surround the ingredients and not be on the edge of the maki/touching the seaweed.
Veggie box: For some reason they cut the inari (fried tofu) in half. The rice to ratio ingredients is way off. The avocado is unripe, it's supposedly to have a creamy texture instead it's hard and lacking of flavour.
Yakisoba: I didn't think you could mess up yakisoba, for some reason they made it spicy with chillioil (???).
Stay away.
I ordered below: salmon box (20 piece) Assorted iso box (16 piece) veggie box (20 piece) California iso Cucumber maki (8 pcs) Hand roll with salmon & avocado mini...
Read moreA huge disappointment unfortunately (I mean, my expectations weren’t particularly high, you can tell this place is one of places created from a template that can be easily franchised, wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same owner as the shop next door) not authentic Japanese food (contrary to the AI generated website descriptions). Ordered delivery on UberEats, had beef ramen which was really bad, chewy, gristly beef, paid £2 extra for 100g extra chicken and received 3 extra pieces, the broth was bland and looked murky, with a few pieces of seaweed and a hard boiled egg (should be soft boiled as per description) and did not resemble a Japanese ramen in the slightest. Beef teriyaki (with extra chicken added) - tough beef, dry and overcooked chicken, overcooked rice and all that swamped in - what looked and tasted like - sugar syrup, nowhere near proper teriyaki sauce. The only decent thing (although cold) was the pumpkin katsu (which is to be expected as it’s a bought in item). Even though I was kinda prepared for it to be not as great I did not think it would be that bad unfortunately. If you want proper Japanese food and experience head over to the fantastic Miso Japanese Restaurant over on London Rd - you won’t be...
