Toby Carvery Festival Park — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

I attended for a late lunch on 21/08/25, I normally don't leave complaints working in hospitality myself however i had an awful experience today and have done the past few times i’ve come here and felt i had no choice. Everything was fine up until we had finished with our food, the restaraunt was filling up and quite busy so we understood that we had to be more patient with the staff as there was only 2 team members at the time, after ten minutes or so our plates still weren't cleared and we weren't asked if we wanted desserts so i decided to head up to the bar, i spoke to a lovely woman with blue hair who i reassured i understood she was busy however we had been waiting a while and would like desserts, she said she would pop over however was stuck on the bar and couldn't get to us so my friend then asked a man who seemed to be the duty manager who said he would send someone over after about 25 mins of finishing eating we finally ordered desserts and they were brought out quite quickly, once wed finished desserts we waited for someone to come over to hand us the bill but no one did, we then asked a young girl for the bill who rolled her eyes and replied 'two mins' while not even stopping to acknowledge us after another 5 or 10 mins of waiting we became frustrated and went up to ask the same woman with blue hair for the bill, as we were paying a man came over complaining about the same issue we had about the service and wait times for everything the woman who we were paying with then turned away from us without even a thankyou for attending or paying the bill, i then caught the 'duty manager' on the way out and explained how the service was very poor and slow, working in hospitality myself i completely understand how hard it is to get round to everyone while busy however it was 3-4 pm on a wednesday and waiting that long for each step in between entering and leaving the building wasn't satisfactory. The 'duty manager' said he knows we waited a while and apologised however seemed very uninterested and unapologetic. Food: 5/5 | Service: 1/5|...

So disappointed with our visit today - as regular visitors for lunch couldn’t believe the attitude of the manager and staff today. My elderly aunt and uncle had travelled from Warwick to take my 92 year old mother out for her birthday lunch and I would be joining them later - table of 4 booked- had a lovely meal and initially the staff were very polite however when my daughter and 8 month old grandson joined us for a surprise for my mom things changed drastically- Yes I did move a chair to the end of the table along with a high chair - the buggy was moved elsewhere - plenty of room around the table for other diners and staff - however on ordering something for my daughter was told we hadn’t booked, couldn’t move a chair ( as apparently they are all accounted for 😳) and every other table was booked up ( plenty of tables free)so couldn’t move to a bigger one - was told to go to the bar. No assistance offered - I spoke to the manager who said the bar couldn’t accommodate us - although again there were plenty of tables and chairs free but again it would mean putting a high chair to a table. The only thing they were interested in was us paying the bill. Other diners even offered their seats as they were leaving but again this was declined by the staff - these guests hadn’t booked either and couldn’t believe the attitude of the staff 😏 So if you are thinking of going with elderly disabled guests or young children that require high chairs then...

Booked meal last minute for 6.10pm 20/02/23 seated quickly waitress asked for orders wasn't ready so she came back. Ordered our food 2 adult 4 children .. she came back very prompt with our glasses for refills then left as the children decided they didn't want the carvery they ordered food off the menu .. I went up and got my carvery and my partner waited behind to look after the children.. by the time it was his turn to go the staff had used all the Yorkshire pudding in the takeaway there was none left and no staff behind the counter then he sat down to wait .. we then had kitchen staff come to us to say they had ran out of macoroni cheese So my daughter picked again then they ran out of Yorkshire pudding wrap..I'm almost 3/4 through my meal sharing it with my 18months old as after nearly 25 minutes my kids food still hadn't arrived and my partner hadn't got food either ...notice my waitress going past explained it been 40 minutes since ive ordered and my meal had nearly finished.. then another waitress abruptly said we are busy .. we went out for a meal to eat together.. finally children food arrived..and my partner finally got his food then my 18 months food came £4 for a bowl of beans and rock hard and dry chicken nuggets so there was no way he could eat them .. nearly £65 meal and we all ate separate we...
