We popped into Stratford-upon-Avon for a few hours on our way back from a family trip to the south of England and as my wife is celiac we were looking for a place that had Gluten free options.
The cafe itself is centrally located in the type of gorgeous building that Stratford is famous for and I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food, the gluten free menu choices and the friendliness & attentiveness of the staff.
After some mixed experiences in tourist hotspots trying to get something safe to eat, in an establishment that you could trust, this place was like a breath of fresh air. The GF fish and chips was gorgeous, the pie and mash I had was some of the best I've ever eaten. Beautiful pastry and fillings and creamy mash.
It's not too expensive either, especially considering the quality of the food and the location. It's safe to say that this place put us in a fantastic mood and we enjoyed the final day of our holiday so much more as a result, leaving us with some very happy memories of a...

All of us enjoyed our food and whilst the gluten free batter wasn't anything special, the fish was a generous portion and beautifully flavourful and well cooked so this was easily forgiven. The food isn't fancy but it's well done and tasty and doesn't cost a fortune, none if had any complaints. A great place to stop for lunch or brunch, I think the only thing that was a little tricky was fitting around the small tables but given its small size and popularity, you can see why the tables were small. We got there relatively early for our cooked lunch and were waiting about 20 minutes - reasonable as it's freshly cooked and I am gluten free - I think if it was really busy cooked food might take longer?...
Read moreCame here whilst visiting Stratford a few weeks back and wanted breakfast. Really lovely well run Cafe, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The food was all cooked fresh to order and arrived piping hot, flavourful and good portion sizes, couldn’t fault it. Good milk alternative options for drinks too which was great. If I could give any feedback it would be whilst there lots of people were coming in and confused if you seat yourself, then order at the counter. Whilst there it was table service, a sign on the door or coming in might help solve the confusion for people (not a big thing). Will be back again when we’re in the area and would love to try more...
