this was an interesting experience to say the least. initially the atmosphere is great.

It looks spacious, clean and a great place to sit and eat with friends/family. The booths they have are quite long and you have to awkwardly shuffle down them so everyone can be seated comfortably.

I had originally expected to be able to buy just a portion of chips for a reasonable price but found there was no option to just order chips and had to instead order from the kids menu which has the cheapest meals despite them being £8.40. The portion of chips you are given is small and not very generous at all. I've read a few reviews that say they got free refills yet I didn't see that advertised on the menu and was not told that in person.

With my meal I chose to get the curry sauce which at first was very nice and exactly what I had wanted. About halfway through the meal, you start to notice the potatoey taste and texture to it and it starts to taste less like a curry sauce and more like a seasoned potato soup which means they probably add some kind of starch mix to the sauce while making it to thicken it and reduce their own spending.

Walking in I didn’t know what to expect. But we was served by a lovely gentleman (ginger hair and beard) I’m sorry I didn’t get your name!!! He explained the menu etc. and then he took our orders (for 2 adults and 2 children) like a legend.. didn’t even write them down and didn’t get it wrong!!

Free water refills? Brilliant!! I found the price for soft drinks pretty expensive at £3.10 for a Pepsi max BUT if you still have a thirst… take the healthy and free option of water :)

I thought the food was a little pricey for a fish and chip shop but when that food appeared in front of me I just knew this was no ordinary fish and chip shop. It is literally a little slice of heaven in the form of potatoes and batter :D The food came in great time and everything was fresh and piping hot. Even my fussy 8yr old ate her fish cake with such gusto!! Refillable chips? I didn’t even have to use that perk as the small meal I ordered was more than enough. My teenager chose a beef burger that contained cheese bacon salad etc and he struggled to eat it all! He said it was the best burger he’s ever had!! Customer service was brilliant and on the plus side… You can even have a cheeky beer if you fancied it!!

Terrible unfortunately. Having been to these before in other places I had high expectations. But they were not to be here. Ordered a haddock and chips to take away, the guy said it would be 5.5 mins and wandered off but was till about. Waited about 15-20 mins, time enough for my husband to go to both tesco and sainsburys, and then asked the lady about my order. She had no idea. Asked is there a haddock somewhere? The guy soung the frying grabbed a shrivelled piece with his hands and shoved it several times at her ans said here, she put in in the box (it snapped as it was so dry) and apologised as she handed it over it was dry and shrivelled and had been sitting there ages. Tasted disgusting. The batter had a terrible taste. Worst haddock and chips I've ever had and that was saying something. Very very disappointed. Would have asked for money back (expensive at about £13 for such poor, small, quality fish) but we had to leave and eat on the move as now late. Will...
