Past 4PM you cannot have under 18’s enter alone when there is two already in this mcdonalds, Im aware that people normally muck about at this store, a simple solution however wouldve been to just have police stationed nearby or around the corner to come and assist the security in the restaurant. Aswell, after 4pm, you cannot eat in if you do not have an adult accompanying an under 18. Its quite unfair to be honest for those who leave school late, and want to go and have a takeaway or eating in at a mcdonalds, I wont let this take away much of my rating on this review though. The store is placed in a moderately convenient place, where its easy to access, takes up to 10 minutes for orders, which is fair enough considering alot of people enter this restaurant on a daily basis. Delivery orders do take a while, however drivers sometimes get lost while delivering to apartments, etc. Food can be cold when delivered because of this, and sometimes may be quite hard or soft depending on if the bag had any air in, giving the food their proper crunch and taste. Prices in this restaurant vary per month changing about 30-50p each month, Though the self serve machines dont have any option to pay cash, you can click “pay by card” cancel, then “pay at counter” Note that receipts dont often come out of the machines, remember your order number. There are two floors in this store with adequate seating, kids high chairs, and you can usually find seating upstairs or downstairs.
As long as this review is, im providing alot of things people may want to know, Gets a 3 star from me, Yes its convenient to order from, but odd times issues occur and it really puts this restaurants...
Read moreRay Kroc would be rolling in his grave if he saw this McDonald's. The concept of fast food is supposed to be fast but this branch of McDonald's will do it's utmost best to ensure this isn't the case. Now I ordered a big Mac meal and a Standard burger. Understandably an option on the menu that isn't often picked would result in a longer wait for the order. But when I have to wait nearly 20 minutes for "fast food" it's a bit of a joke; especially when you have people who have ordered 15 minutes after you and get their food ahead of you. What made it particularly irritating was watching the younger staff chatter away without any sense of urgency; it wasn't even a busy period. To make matters worse when I eventually got the meal the standard burger that I ordered was not only cold but the bun was rock solid as if it had been there waiting all day.
The rest of the food was fine but it wasn't a pleasant experience, a mere apology for the wait would have been fine but to not even get a simple acknowledgement was unacceptable.
The rest of the restaurant was clean and relatively quiet noise wise, there were plenty of seats available at this time of the...
Read moreMcDonald's in a city centre? Honestly a lot of what I'm about to write goes without saying, but oh well.
This store is almost always packed full of people. Food often takes quite a while, it tends to be very loud and warm. It can get quite messy, the queues can take quite a while. Overall, exactly what you'd expect for a large city centre McDonald's, but the 2nd floor often is a lot less packed, so that's always good.
One of the things that I think makes this place better than some of the other City Centre McDonald's I've been to is that, they rarely get any orders wrong. It's impressive, especially for a store that's always super busy.
Personally, I prefer the smaller McDonald's. They're less busy. They have less screaming kids. It's quieter. But I prefer even more to take out, because no McDonald's, especially this one, has a good atmosphere.
Overall, good for a quick cheap meal in a pinch while you're in town. Not amazing for...
