Third time I have popped into Strollers and unless quality improves wont be going back , as in my honest and calculated opinion , the quality of the coffee and scones is just not worth the price . When Strollers first opened like other coffee outlets I thought I would give them a try out . Strollers is quite a nice place situated overlooking the sea itself , it is clean and a pleasant place to enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat . I frequent many coffee shops and know what a decent coffee is all about . For two people we were charged £7.90 for two cups of cappachino and one cheese scone . The size of the coffee is adequate but the taste was one of hot water with a shot of strong coffee , not at all what a proper cappachino should taste like . It has to be said other premises along the sea front make the same mistake and I often wonder what is so difficult making a proper tasting enjoyable cup of coffee . The cheese scone was on the small size , quite dry inside with very little taste of cheese and it was served up with what definitely tasted of margarine instead of the better option (butter) , so not worth the two pound odd it cost . Once again many places make the same mistake . I would like to think the management would take this as constructive criticism and maybe up the quality a little as you have a...
Read moreMy daily stop for a good quality coffee, tea, hot chocolate or soft drink. Good quality sweet snacks and gorgeous ice cream in the summer. Lovely staff who've become friends. My new'third place'. Made some good friends there. Dog sausage a bonus! Petra and Ingrid are the permanent staff and are the reason I go. There are nearby coffee shops indoors or at least sheltered from the elements. I go to Strollers in all weathers as Petra and Ingrid are brilliant, funny, make great coffee and have become friends. There's an'11 o clock club' of regulars and their dogs and they're really welcoming to newbies. Fantastic views as right on the prom overlooking the beach ⛱️ happy to go there alone as its so welcoming. Could do with some savoury or healthier snacks but that's a minor issue. Personal service...
Read moreWas accosted by owner as we passed by today and was verbally abused because I wouldn't apologise for a review I had posted in March. I saw with my own eyes how she had dropped the tea towel on the floor in the kitchen area and picked it back up to continue drying some cups. She also picked up a laminated menu from the sandy floor and replaced it on the table. The cafe encourages dogs to visit. This was just before lockdown so cleanliness should have...
