KFC Tamworth - Ventura Retail Park — Restaurant in Tamworth

I haven't been to a KFC honestly in years, but I had my mother with me today and couldn't deal with her indecisiveness. She confirmed she wanted Chicken for lunch, so as it was so cold, we went through the drive thru. I just obviously went at the right time as when I pulled out, the line if cars in line for the drive thru was back up to the M&S island. Whilst the food was hot, tasty and the service was with a smile, if you are looking for fast food you may need to check what time you go. Fast, it was most certainly not. From watching the cars come and go, only 3 had moved out of sight for the time it took my mother and me to eat a 6 price bucket meal (6 pieces, fries and a drink) and believe me, my mother would win an award for how slow she is and how much she can moan! Anyway as mentioned, the food was fresh and hot. The chicken was tasty, all be it the spicy wings a bit too spicy for my taste, but if there was an option for a sour cream dip they would have been great. (KFC- maybe an idea???). The part of the drive thru when you get to pay and collect food is a bit narrow so that f you have a wide car, be carefull and watch your mirrors, but other than that, it was ok. Went in last night for a family treat after taking the kids to winter wonderland . Well what a shock , 1st we ordered so I popped to the toilet , what an absolute disgrace, absolutely stunk of old urine , urine all over the floors , all over the toilet seats , absolutely disgusting , signs saying toilets cleaned regularly , what a joke ! So this was about 9pm so the restaurant only had about 4 customers eating in so that left a good 20 or so tables and chairs to choose to eat , could we find a clean table- NO ! Every table had food over it , sauce stuck to chairs , beans stuck to tables and chairs, salt stuck to tables via damp from drinks cups , chips all over the floor , empty sauce and salt packets all over the place ! There were more staff there than customers yet this place was awful, well under managed ! KFC , you really do need to take a long hard look at this particular outlet of yours , this is the worst one I have ever had the experience of going into up and down the country !! 1 star is TOO high in my opinion !!! NEVER GO KFC TAMWORTH ventura park. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE !!! NEEDS CLOSING DOWN before someone gets food poisoning or slips on the filthy wet floor and breaks...

It doesn't matter if it's busy or quiet the service is always slow. The salt, serviettes, straws etc are always empty and are slow to be replenished. On my previous visit there was a large pool of water where you collect your order. There was a sign up warning about the wet floor but as I said to a member of staff, you've got to walk through it to collect your order and it was really slippery and could cause an accident. The staff member apologised and said they were short staffed so wouldn't be able to mop up the pool of water???!!! How there was never an accident I'll never know! I always have to check my order as there is always something missing, this time it was the chicken popcorn. I was also given 2 drinks that had been on the counter for over 20 minutes so I had to ask for 2 fresh ones. I have to say I can't fault the quality of the food but everytime I go in there it's carnage!! There are staff behind the counter bickering loudly over orders being mixed up.
