I love Five Guys food and had been wanting to try the new Tamworth one since it opened earlier this Summer. The food as always with Five Guys was great but the wait times were longer than I have experienced at a Five Guys. This was in part to all the deliveroo, just eat, uber eats Drivers that appeared. Said Drivers also took up a large area of the restricted downstairs space and took up the limited car parking spaces.
Other restaurant chains have managed to segregate the two areas of the business to Restaurant Customers to enjoy their dining experience without Delivery Customers impacting on it. And these chains are significantly cheaper.
For a new restaurant the stairs and dining area were a bit disappointing in that the tables and floors were all dirty. The tables had no rubbish but all were covered in food debris and sticky marks. So we had to clean our table ourselves with baby wipes as there appeared to be no particular Staff Member concentrating in any of these areas.
There appeared to be ample Staff floating between the Employee area upstairs and the kitchen/counters downstairs but non of them made an effort to do anything in terms of the dining area.
By the end of our visit the only bin upstairs was overflowing. Not amazing when the visit has cost in the region of £50 for two adults and one child.
Was worth a try, but think I will stick to the Coventry...
Read moreWow, unimpressed is an understatement! We ordered from here through deliveroo. Price: oh my goodness, for what you get it is a staggering rip off. More than double other similar burger restaurants! I've had waitress service in pubs with better food and a lower price. The bread: it isn't toasted, it is cheap, tasteless bread that squashes into nothing. The meat: the burger was OK, nothing special. My hot dog was tiny and had been sliced in half, presumably to make it look better or more full? It tasted OK, but nothing amazing. Everything fell out and made a complete mess. And it was stone cold. The fries: my goodness how disgusting wasteful. I heard the portions were huge bit this was absolutely ridiculous! I understand they make them daily well, pay less staff to chop endless potatoes, give us all a sensible sized portion and lower the price! I had spicy fries, I have no clue what spices they use but they tasted peculiar, like they had shaken them on after they had been cooked. So it tasted like raw spices. The Shakes: these were OK. But again I've had similar much cheaper and I felt these did not justify the poor quality of the rest of the meal. I will never go here again, it is cheap food, branded to look far better than it is. A waste of a...
Read moreSalty. It's expensive for what you get. Salty chips. Salty nuts.🤣🤣🤣.. How they get so much salt inside a sealed peanut shell I don't know. Also, the nuts smelt a bit fusty in the basket as if a few of the shells had started to go mouldy. Did I mention the 🧂 The staff are great and professional, and the service is prompt. As a disabled person, having just eat drivers filling all the disabled bays isn't optimal, causing me to struggle to get there. Downstairs is a hub of drivers sitting about waiting for deliveries. You get salty fries and extra in the bag, which may sound good, but for the price, a little cup isn't a portion, so the extra is actually extra just making it a full portion. The cup may just be to hold.all the salt to stop it...
