The Miah Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamworth

Horrendous experience with this restaurant/takeaway I had a while ago, I'm still so annoyed by it that I'm writing this review of the disgrace of their service. So a while ago I used this takeaway a couple of times and one occasion what was meant to be a 40 minute delivery turned into an hour and a half. Benefit of the doubt I tried another time (should have learnt) and i waited OVER 2 hours!! 2 hours and 10 minutes if we want to be precise! After 3 phone calls because the first two they lied to me about it being out for delivery and will take "5 minutes" by the third phone call i was angry and they admitted they had no idea wher my order was... so you cant trust these liars... I ordered through an app otherwise i would have told them not to bother and after this time i was starving.. it finally came and did they offer it for free or any sort of compensation? NO! Just sorry been busy attitude... I havent used them since and never will again. My advice is to order from other places who are competant enough to actually deliver your food in 20-40 minutes not over 2 hours.

EDIT: Just noticed by other reviews that this is common, that it can take 2 hours... what is worrying is, has that food been sitting in a car for that time?? I did ask the question nd they said no, but as they lied to me twice already I dont believe them. Avoid and go elsewhere, there are plenty of VERY good indian akeaways in the area, use...

Decided to try the Miah as we recently received a menu through the post. We usually use a recommended takeaway in fazeley but thought we'd try something different. Upon ordering, we thought the dishes were rather expensive but the 20% takeaway reduction would bring the price down. Having ordered, we went to collect and on paying we were told that the 20% was no longer offered! Obviously, as a new customer, was very disappointed and was not offered the reduction; he just said that there had been a recent menu change and that offer wasn't available anymore. The most annoying thing was seeing an order on his computer which had given an online order 20% reduction! This was not even mentioned or directed too for the future. Ordered here for the first time tonight as I wanted to try a new Ruby house. I wanted to explore different textures and flavours within the Ruby industry in Tamworth Town. I went for a madras and I have to say it was the worse madres I've ever tasted, this cut is absolutely diabolical. At its best its the most Distinctive, heave worthy, tasting food I have eaten. Its a horrible taste I will never forget. Its honestly put me off my Indian cousine as a whole now and because of this I doubt other joints.
