Naz Indian — Restaurant in Teignbridge

We used to be regular customers of Naz but sadly won't be returning after our experience last night. Takeaway ordered for delivery and was told it would be an hour and a half wait. Fair enough..... they are busy. 1 hour and 45 mins later, no food had arrived and we had 4 very hungry people sitting at the table. We then spent 30 minutes trying to call only to get an engaged tone or to have the call ignored. After rustling up bacon and eggs for everyone, the phone rang to let us know that they were just about to leave to deliver our order. I politely informed them that the food was no longer required as we had been waiting for well over 2 hours by this point.

A real shame as the food from Naz is generally good. However, their service was abysmal last night and I was really frustrated that they chose to ignore a ringing phone. It seems they may have bitten off more orders than they could fulfil but this does not excuse the complete lack of communication. Had we been kept informed we likely would have waited a little longer but were not...

Brilliant.

Down from the Midlands on holiday and needed my weekly curry fix, this place was recommended by a few people and I cannot fault it.

They happily let my two children share a mail which many places would not do, the service was brilliant the food was fantastic and the price was nothing more or nothing less than you would expect to pay for good.

My only very slight criticism was that the vindaloo was quite mild but without broadcasting any stereotypes by something I'm not unaccustomed to down south - The meal itself was utterly brilliant just not as hot as I would've expected.

I will definitely be using this...

Myself and my partner travelled to Teignmouth from Cornwall for an evening out, we planned to go to a different restaurant but had walked past Naz on the way there and ended up going back to it and getting a table there rather than the original one we we’d planned.

From the minute we entered we had great friendly service, a quiet Sunday night but still a nice atmosphere despite the weather and power cuts playing havoc with their card machine and radio system.

The food was incredible, prompt service, reasonably priced and very attentive staff. We will 100% be back again, couldn’t...
