On a recent journey back to the UK I had the absolute privilege of finding The Teignmouth Heritage Museum and meeting Lorraine, Julie and Geoff. I arrived off the train, flustered and weighed down with luggage and discovered that there was no storage at the station. This visit was to see my Dads place of birth and revisit childhood holiday memories. The three of them become such an important part of my trip. I was relieved of my luggage and freed up to explore. Read moreVisited with two friends, one on holiday from the U.S.A. (3/10/2025 I noticed the price list at the till, and saw Disabled £2.50. So I asked for a disabled entrance fee. The person on the till asked me "Are you disabled ?" With a bad attitude. Staff should not ask "Are you disabled?" as it is an inappropriate and potentially illegal question under equality law. I was mortified in front of my friends, and it felt very rude. I even showed her my disabled rail card. Having worked at Powderham castle in visitor services I would never dream of asking such a question.
