After visiting many Wetherspoons throughout Wales and England, this is the first that disappoints. The restaurant was clean, tidy and fantastic provisions for social distancing. We were promptly greeted by a member is staff on arrival and seated within minutes. After struggling to order via the app, the waiter starting taking our order. During this time we were advised certain menu items weren't available. Also I was notified that the app order was processed and the order was being prepared. The first issue was that the food arrived to the wrong table (quickly corrected), secondly my rare steak was cooked as well done. My step daughter ordered the fish and chips, told there was no tartar sauce available to accompany the dish. My daughter had the garlic bread as part of her meal, this was cold and tasteless. Everyone was over half was through their food when my [finally] corrected meal arrived. This time the steak was cooked correctly, however; I was eating the second half alone as the others had already finished ahead of me. The staff were helpful and friendly, going above and beyond throughout, unfortunately the whole visit was sub-standard and quite disappointing. I would recommend here, but check the menu and range of items before ordering. The food was delivered to the wrong table initially as the table sticker had rolled to reveal the old take number (as in the photo).

05/08/22 0830hrs prox. Little disappointed today with our breakfast! The food was at room temperature and a lot of the bacon and toast was burnt! In the words of Gordon Ramsey, "don't let your mistakes leave the kitchen". The chef clearly new the toast was burnt as they put it burnt side down! It's not like it was busy, I now understand why! And no I didn't complain today and I know I should of, but sometimes you just can't be bothered repeating yourself! We've always used Wetherspoons but in the last six months, the standard seems to of dropped, especially with portions etc . . On a positive note, the loos were clean but it hadn't been hoovered properly on the first floor landing!

Chaos, utter chaos! Is there anyone with any hospitality managerial experience running this pub? One person serving being the bar with the number of frustrated, increasingly angry customers growing before him. Orders being placed via the app we're visibly building up, too, judging by the number of people going to the bar to query the whereabouts of their order. An unacceptable number of tables on both floors were left uncleared, strewn with dirty glasses, crockery, and used napkins. The staff seemed to be wandering around aimlessly in a state of dazed confusion. Why do staff returning from serving a table do so with an empty tray? Clear a table on your way back to the bar!!

We went here to eat 6/8/22 at roughly 8pm ,it was extremely busy and we were told food would be approx a 40 minute wait.I ordered the lemon and herb chicken which they didn't have so I ordered a large mixed grill and my friend the 8oz sirloin with a salad . When our food finally arrived I thought there had been a mistake or someone was playing a joke , my plate consisted of 8 chips (yes I counted) a piece of steak that looked like it had been cooked in a furnace and an egg that looked like those rubber ones you can buy in Joke shops , The offering they called gammon was so small a rasher of bacon would of been better.my friend got off a little better his steak surprisingly was cooked to perfection but his NOT Mediterranean salad consisted of half a tomato and a few lettuce leaves, I really wanted to take photos but annoyingly the battery had died on my phone but I visit and eat at Wetherspoons on a regular basis and what I was served last night did not meet the expectation of what is promoted on their menu or what I have been served before. The staffs attitude was blase to say the least im a disabled lady and when my friend accompanied me to the toilet my full glass of Pepsi was taken from our table (obviously still occupied) and poured away my friend requested another one which was met with sighs and tuts . On reflection I should of refused the meal but we had a train to catch and there wouldn't of been time for me to eat else where resulting in me being hungry. I know people will say its a Wetherspoons and you get what you pay for but I was expecting food that was...

Dunno what was on the other day, but they actually could not get a single thing right. First off, we ordered a steak and jacket potato, but they instead gave steak and chips. Not feeling like waiting again, we just went ahead with the chips (which were, by the way, burnt). Also got a burger which was actually splayed out on the plate. The meat in both instances was questionably red, and the steak had this massive ventricle thing in it for free, which was pretty mingin. Feeling a bit queasy even now. When I ordered a haze it had clearly been topped up with gold as it tasted weird as anything and you could see it weren't just haze. We asked for a receipt with everything just to be sure, but never got one. The only thing that was successful in the visit was the bottled ciders that we bought and poured ourselves. I didn't rate 1 star because it was so humorously hopeless that we actually enjoyed the visit, but the food standards were a bit lacking to say the least. Next time get a receipt, and if it says Chef2 on it then you know you're in good hands. I'm hoping this was an off day where Chef3 stepped into the thunderdome to dirty the name of Wetherspoons. However, staff were friendly as ever and did their best seemingly given the circumstances, and I imagine if we had made a fuss and demanded a full refund we would have got one...
