I have used Sea Master several times with no problems and the quality has always been good except for my last visit. I paid by card and noticed the display said approved. The assistant then said that payment hadn't gone through and to present the card again. I said that I was sure I saw approved but she said no. I re-presented my card and she said it was fine that time. While I waited for the order to be prepared, I thought I would check pending transactions on my account via my phone. Unsurprisingly there were two transactions for Sea Master for exactly the same amount for that day (£19.60). I showed the assistant and she just shrugged her shoulders and walked off. I asked to speak to the manager. He said that I hadn’t been charged twice and one of the transactions had been canceled. I told him that that couldn’t be right. He told me to come back tomorrow after he had time to check with the bank. I went back the next day when he refunded the money back to my card with no apology and hardly looking up. Shop keepers are in a position of trust and I can’t help wondering how many times this "unfortunate" "accident" has occurred without being noticed by the customer. Placed an order for delivery for 3 people. Order was delivered and a meal was missing. Called them up and was told the missing meal would be with us in 15 mins. 30 mins later and still waiting. Called back again. Told it had just been sent out, we are busy. Managing a customers expectations goes a long way to putting things right. Bit of an attitude in the tone of voice also. Like they say, if you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. The missing meal finally arrived 45 mins after it was reported missing.
