Saw this tea room and thought I would give it a go. Was met by a young man who seemed to be not coping due to insufficient staff. He served people that arrived after us first, and I had to go up to him to place my order. Although he was pleasant he unfortunately lacked that the experience that front of house needs. I saw some people walk out as he said each person in the group had to scan for Covid checking in. Saw a couple outside who went in and said they wanted to order, waited outside, and gave up waiting. Food was ok, but nothing memorable and place lacked warmth...

Amazing! We had the Prosecco Afternoon Tea which was delicious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and this has to be one of my best afternoon teas!

It included unlimited tea and sooo much choice!!! We tried the cherry Bakewell, chocolate fudge and a breakfast tea.

The Prosecco is a small 20cl bottle (pink or white) so more than your average glassšŸ˜Šā¤ļø

Price wise it was just under £32, compared to the experiences you can buy it is a similar price, however, this is much better value and I would prefer...

Me and my sister took my mum a while ago for her birthday, treating her to a cream tea. Went there the place seemed nice, was clean but the service and the food we was disappointed with. The staff was nice but waiting a while for the food and our teas, was not a lot there for 3 of us, the cakes didn't seem all that, No choice of sandwiches, (we did not pick them) No plate, No knife, No Napkin, No Cream, No Jam, No Butter, Poor selection. Was not pleased with the price we paid we for 3 of us. Would never...

What a treat. Bessie’s was lovely. Great menu with corned beef and pickled sandwich as a special on the day I went. Brilliant. Afternoon tea is beautifully presented. Loose leaf tea, selection of sandwiches and cakes baked on the premises. The space is charming with a couple of outside tables too. Friendly, helpful and warm staff. Jess was a delight - nothing was too much trouble. Next time the savoury tea. Who doesn’t love crisps with a sandwich?

Very tasty and cosy little afternoon tea cafe. It was a birthday treat and will be fondly remembered. The cakes, sandwiches and scones were all very tasty and well made. We had champagne as well and the staff brought over some free chocolates and a lit birthday candle to celebrate the occasion. They have a good range of teas and you can buy any as loose leaf to take home with you. Friendly and helpful staff. Would visit again.

Ended up in Broadstairs on a day out with the kids, looked up best places to eat on tripadvisor and came across this place. It was excellent. I had a Beforenoon tea which was like a brunch type thing. Wife had afternoon tea and son had child’s afternoon tea. All very good and generous.
