If only been here for drinks previously and was impressed by how friendly the bar staff are.

I came for Sunday lunch with 5 members of my family. We hadn’t booked but were told to sit on the comfy granny’s sitting room (in a good way! 😂) style comfy chairs for 5mins whilst they prepared our table. Such friendly and accommodating staff. I was feeling unwell and asked for a lemon and ginger tea for my sore throat. They had run out but I was given two homemade remedies instead. Such sweet hospitality and they really went the extra mile for us. We were all really impressed by their level of professionalism and service. The food was excellent and such great value too! 12 of us went for a meal on Sunday 11th August 2019 . The meal was fine and the waitress was very helpful. However the stress involved with their online booking system was terrible. My son in law booked it originally for 13 as he was travelling down with the family. He asked me to go in a few days before to change it to 12 . He had repeatedly phoned but got response and as I live in Margate I went in. They had no record of the booking and was told they also had had a woman come in that they had no record of. The waitress made a note on a piece of paper . I informed my son in law and to be double sure he then rebooked it online again ! We arrived on the Sunday only to be greeted by the blank faces of the staff. They again had no record ! Fortunetly they were able to fit us in. It's just as well as I think there would been some...

Had the pleasure of dining here on Tuesday night..Enjoyed the retro decor, good selection of specialist and Artisan gins. Food was amazing, a wonderful dish of heritage marinated beetroot carpaccio with candied walnuts, soft fresh tangy creamy cheese with edible flowers was sublime.. Followed by Bestend of lamb with lamb rillette, new potatoes and minted peas and cabbage with bacon and a fabulous fresh summery sauce, finally a beautifully light and wobbly Vanilla panacotta served with a lovely tangy smooth sorbet and fresh berries.. Washed down with a more than adequate Malbec.. all very reasonably priced.. Attentive but unobtrusive service,with beautiful, warm, smiley, friendly staff.. Cannot wait for my next visit..Thankyou so much for a memorable evening...
