The Scenic Railway — Attraction in Thanet

It is very nicely presented and a piece of coaster heritage (100 yrs old, with it most recently being restored and reoperating since 2015). Don't expect this to have glorious airtime, but it does its job as a family wooden coaster with a brakeman onboard. Love the staffs operating there, they are all very friendly.

However, I really do think that the over the shoulder seatbelt (Driver's seat style belt) is overkill. This ride doesn't need them and it severes harms the potential moments of airtime you can get on it, and it is really uncomfortable on the shoulder on moments of potential airtime. The park can maybe look at that and maybe try installing a over the waist seatbelt or even removing it altogether for a better ride experience and comfort. Also overpriced for what you get...

Sadly the scenic railway dose not operate due to politics and red tape for funding to maintain it. Dreamland dont even class it as a ride anymore nor do they tell you its not operational when you hand money over for a wristband.
