A filter coffee and, on our most recent visit, fruit scone and jam at The Margate Coffee Shed are the reward a friend and I look forward to after a bike ride from Birchington to Margate. The ride is always very pleasant but to follow it with with the coffee stop is to put icing on the cake. The café is very welcoming and the coffee freshly brewed. Tables and chairs are closely spaced in what is a somewhat bijou establishment. However, this seems far from a negative aspect and only serves to add to the cosy, friendly atmosphere. Cycling has never been better!

MICROWAVED FLY ON NACHOS Ordered 3 lots of nachos only and took a long time even though it was definitely just microwaved as the cheese was half blitzed and half non-melted- Wetherspoons quality but double the price. One of the nachos came out with a microwaved fly though we just removed that nacho and left it. I would have thought stricter sanitation practices would be taking place in the kitchen during a pandemic. Asked if they had gluten free options, was told yes and given a menu and left alone whilst the menu didn’t indicate any gf options. Toilet was nice though.

Went this morning and had a lovely brunch, my friend is lactose intolerant and they very attentive with making sure the kitchen brought out vegan pancakes and that no dairy touched anything. I'm not a vegan but got the vegan brunch as it looked interesting and the beans were lovely and the avocado was perfectly ripe. Our waitress, Zara was super sweet and lovely even though it was a bit cold this morning! Thank you for making our morning!

Great place to sit down and have a nice coffee and pastry or food. They have a really cool and retro design coffee place. The coffee is good and make fresh in front of you! Great view and location along the front of the beach! Would recommend for sure, along with polite staff, could be a bit more inviting to customers and greet people a little more but could of just been this day I went in. 👍🏻 5/5

While the staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food isn't great. I ordered a Green Toastie to takeaway, but after getting it home and having a bite, I found they'd been very stingy with the mozzarella - there was hardly any in there! (See photo). On top of that, the pesto was spread pretty thinly and the spinach was a small clump in the middle of the sandwich. Really disappointing
