Thanks for ruining Eid - Archies. So spent the day visiting family on Eid in Manchester and decided to meet up with family at Trafford Centre for a bite to eat. Trafford Centre was obviously more busy than normal due to EID so when we visited the food court the options were few that didn’t have an hour waiting time, especially for our group of 12. So when we past Archies and queue was somewhat shorter than other places I enquired with the staff member who was controlling the queue. She was very accommodating and advised we would be seated in 10mins and food after ordering would be approximately 30mins. The ordering process is via a QR code feature on the tables or alternately ordering at the till. We placed our order at 9.05pm and it was a order of £120! Cups were provided immediately for self-service and then we waited. It came to 9.30pm and I politely made enquires to how long our food would be, as there seemed to be a large group of customers all waiting to collect food at the counter. I was told another 10-15min and our food would be with us. 9.45pm I returned to the counter to enquire about our order again and this time informed there was a problem in the kitchen and it would be 5 mins, I was annoyed about this and asked why this information wasn’t told to us before and it’s unacceptable to wait 45mins for food, to which I was offered milkshakes free of charge and to choose which ones and return back to the counter. 10mins had passed and the shutters where being partially brought down to indicate that Archies was now not taking further orders. A staff member was cleaning the other tables when she made eye contact and informed me that our food would be 5 more minutes. I was really annoyed and told her that I was told 15mins at 9.30pm, then 5minutes at 9.45pm and its now 10pm and still no food. I informed her that if we didn’t have our food in 5mins I would be demanding a refund. Within 5mins our food arrived on two trays, one tray with burgers and other with fries. Upon checking whose burger was for who we noticed all our burgers were COLD!. I immediately when to the counter and demanded to speak to the manger who tried to convince me the burgers were warm and was completely unconvincing to me and himself. I absolutely lost it here and just said let me have my refund and be on my way to which he agreed, he then proceeded to give me a refund on £106.63, I asked why I wasn’t given a full refund to which he had the audacity to say we had drunk the drinks and this couldn’t be refunded. I literally didn’t have the will to argue and took the refund, which took and awfully long time to provide. Meanwhile behind me were approximately 5 more customers with similar waiting times of an hour.
Shocking customer service. NEVER USING...
Read moreWent with my husband today and the food was very nice however the service is atrocious. Ordered at the till and were originally told table 32 however when we went to sit down the waiter told us to go to 33 as there was already someone at the original table. Waited around 20 minutes and no food had arrived but we noticed the table next to us received their food although they came after us. Didn’t think it would be much longer. The table next to us had received the wrong order and this was taken back. I assumed this was meant to be my food but didn’t say anything. Around 20 minutes later a lady came over and asked if we were still waiting for our food and we said yes so she took our receipt to see where it was. She came back with a tray of food and you guessed it. She brought us the tray of food that the other table had received. The packing was open quite clearly and on top of that I knew that the food had been sitting there at least 20 minutes from when the table next to us had received it. We told her we wanted fresh food and she said she would get this sorted. Around 10 minutes later a guy comes over with the same tray of food. Packaging all still open. We explained again we wanted fresh food as the other table had opened and touched this and it had also been sitting out for who knows how long at this point. He said “I’ll get my manager to come over then”. I’m sorry, what? What is the need for a manager. It is quite clearly their mistake. He comes back 5 minutes later and took the tray and said fresh food would be made that would take 15 minutes. The food then arrived and I checked it all to make sure. My husband asked for ketchup and the guy said cash or card. For a ketchup? Considering how long we waited they could at least offer a free bloody ketchup. My husband then asked for tissue as none had come with the food and was told to get up and go to the till to get some. I opted for the pink lemonade and as soon as I sipped it, it was literally watered down and tasted like soda water. Not sure if this is down to the syrup in the draft being finished. I would completely understand the price of food as some places up the price due to the service they provide however there was no service at all. No different to a McDonald’s service only difference is McDonald’s give you ketchup for free. Wasted an hour and a half on...
Read moreRecently had the opportunity to try the Nashville burger and Truffle Fries at the restaurant. While I had high hopes for both dishes, I must admit I was left somewhat disappointed. Let's start with the Nashville burger. While the concept sounded tantalizing, with buttermilk fried chicken, Nashville sauce, and Sriracha mayo, the execution fell short. The burger was overly oily, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, the flavors didn't quite come together as I had expected. While the chicken was crispy, it lacked the depth of flavor I anticipated from the Nashville sauce. The Sriracha mayo, while a nice touch, couldn't compensate for the lackluster taste of the burger as a whole.
As for the Truffle Fries, they too failed to meet my expectations. Despite being tossed in truffle oil and topped with dry herbs and Italian hard cheese, the fries lacked the robust flavor I associate with truffle dishes.
Now, onto the Princess Pia Mia milkshake. Despite its enticing description featuring Kinder Bueno, Oreos, strawberries, and whipped cream, I found the milkshake to be underwhelming. While the combination of ingredients sounded delightful, the flavors didn't quite harmonize as I had hoped. The milkshake lacked the richness and creaminess I expect from a decadent treat like this. Additionally, I found the sweetness to be overpowering, which masked the individual flavors of the ingredients, while the milkshake had potential, it ultimately fell short of delivering the indulgent experience I was craving.
Overall, while the restaurant had promising menu items, my experience fell short of expectations. I hope they can address these issues in the future to provide a more satisfying dining experience for their...
