Blank Street Coffee — Restaurant in Trafford

I ordered a pistachio iced latte and a white chocolate matcha, and only received one of the items. Unfortunately I was very sad as I waited 20 minutes and only received the iced latte. There was not much of a rush so I was surprised by the wait time. When I asked the gentleman very kindly where the other half of my order was he said very sternly that it had been ticked off and someone else must have taken it. This felt quite upsetting as he made no intention to rectify my order and there was certainly no apology. I have previously worked as a barista for 2 years and am very well aware of the demands of the job and even felt uncomfortable when I had no choice but to get a refund as even after asking where my drink was I still was empty handed another 5 minutes later. The barista on the coffee very clearly knows what she is doing as she seemed to be the only one of maybe 8 working there who seemed to be doing a good job along with the girl who served me at the til who was very kind. As for the girls making the matcha they seemed very disinterested in their job and careless towards the customers waiting. It would have been wise to ask someone waiting for so long why that is the case, but no one made any effort to. Very poor experience and has left me not wanting to return here anymore. Had a fantastic experience trying blank street (and matcha) for the first time! There was a long queue but I downloaded the app to place my order which helped beat the queue, so would recommend others to do that too! I ordered the iced banana bread matcha and once I placed the order I got told the banana syrup had ran out so they would have to get more from the store room which would take about 5-10 mins. I was happy to wait. In the meantime I browsed a store nearby. When I returned I was still waiting for the staff member to return. I was then told my order was in fact ready and had been sitting there for a few mins. I must have missed my name being called when I was away. But because the guy was so lovely, he made me another in a large size, gave me a refund and also offered me a free cookie or banana bread (which I believe is vegan). I chose the banana bread and got 2 thick slices of it! So a free large drink and treat! What more can you ask for. Simply for the inconvenience of having to wait a little longer, which I didn't mind at all. The drink and banana bread tasted devine! Can't wait to try more flavours! First things first I want to say how friendly, welcoming and polite the team are at Trafford Blank Street- I come by very often and admits the lunch time rush (all day rush really) the team are nothing but positive and always ready to help and serve even when I over hear rude or demanding customers they remain completely professional and helpful- I know that musnt be easy on them so as someone whos worked in a similar line of work I feel very proud at how well they are representing themselves and the brand

There is a lady I believe called Nancy who works there and she really stands out to me! she knows my order which i dont expect but its always a nice feeling when your a regular customer somewhere :). She greets me with a beaming smile, asks how I am and overall delivers such a warm service. She also asks if i’d like for her to warm my cookie which..is just now my favourite thing ever! :) sooo I definitely keep coming back not only for my white choc matcha obsessed self but because Nancy and her team are just so lovely
