Cork of the North Sale — Restaurant in Trafford

Decided to try this place out for a birthday drink last night with my old friend , as I have often walked past and noticed the have craft beer in cans and for nostagic reasons I love to have a drink in a can before having a glass of red. Well, I was not disappointed after choosing a beer solely based on a picture of a bunny on the can, being a pet photographer that was a sign for me..and the beer tasted even better as they were playing The Clash.

Then it was time to try some wine and was recommended a wine after describing what kind of red I like.

Luckily, the wine was from Portugal that sent me back to Lisbon where I had my honeymoon on a vineyard.

I even broke my 1 drink max rule and had 2 glasses of the beautiful rich wine that was full of flavours and memories..

Very much looking forward to trying more drinks in here.. I will...

A group of us are in the Spanish who dont serve alcohol so they send us next door for wine as they give 'discount'. The girls never heard of this, so no matter i buy a bottle for £13.50 and she charges me £18.99. Apparently they are cashless and cant give refunds so ask if id like another bottle, silly me thought this was a gesture of good will, but no she wants to charge me for it. When i decline it doesnt stop there, im now asked if id the the refund in crisps, maybe to go with our Spanish i wonder? Another alternative is that i make an hour round trip back to the shop on another occasion, call me unreasonable i didn't fancy this. Eventually a little initiative prevailed and she spoke to a manager who showed her how to make a refund, although at time of writing the money hasn't cleared, so bad its literally...

Just dropped in for first time on way home … ordered 2glasses of Rose for me and my wife ….. barmaid busy on phone taking reservations etc i assume …. whole conversation included i would pay by card and to make sure it was suitably chilled and she the size of glasses ….i asked for the larger of what she offered … …

my fault i suppose i did’nt ask price and when i sat down at table was notified by my bank it was £19 !!!…

when later queried by my wife she was told “ cant he read” pointing at large blackboard on wall behind bar ……. … i cant remember Rose listed on that blackboard … i maybe wrong tho’…. … my wife and i have travelled extensively and visited many wine regions throughout and was optimistic when we saw this establishment and was hopeful of future visits …...
