I recently had the opportunity to dine at Dosa Kingss Restaurant and wanted to share my experience. We ordered a variety of dishes including the Thalapakattu Lamb Biryani, Masala Dosa, Ghee Roast Dosa, Crab Curry, along with some refreshing drinks and a Kulfi scoop for dessert.
Let me start by saying that the Masala Dosa and Ghee Roast Dosa were absolutely delicious. The dosas were perfectly cooked with a crisp texture on the outside and a soft, flavorful filling inside. The accompanying chutneys and sambar complemented the dosas wonderfully. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and spices in both of these dishes.
The Crab Curry was another standout dish. It had a rich and spicy flavor profile that perfectly complemented the tender crab meat. The spices were well balanced, and the curry had a depth of flavor that left me wanting more. It was definitely a highlight of the meal.
As for the Thalapakattu Lamb Biryani, while the taste was commendable, I did find the rice to be a bit dry. The flavors of the biryani were spot on, with the aromatic blend of spices and the tender pieces of lamb, but the rice lacked the desired moisture that would have taken it to the next level. Nonetheless, it was still a tasty dish overall.
To end the meal on a sweet note, we indulged in a Kulfi scoop. The Kulfi was creamy, smooth, and had a perfect balance of sweetness. It was a delightful way to conclude the dining experience.
Overall, my visit to Dosa Kingss Restaurant was enjoyable. The Masala Dosa and Ghee Roast Dosa were delicious, the Crab Curry packed a flavorful punch, and the Kulfi scoop was a satisfying dessert. While the Thalapakattu Lamb Biryani could have had moister rice, the taste was still great. The service was attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant. I would recommend Dosa Kingss to anyone looking for tasty South Indian cuisine with a variety of...
Read moreOverall a nice place with good quality food. Spicer than any other restaurant have been to so not for those who don't like spice. Torn between 3 and 4 stars but went for 4 as although the service did let the overall experience down, the food was nice and the staff were pleasant.
Service: The lady serving us was lovely, however the service provided needs improvement. We were initially asked for our orders to be taken pretty quickly. We said we weren't ready but we were asked if we would at least order the starters, which we did. The mains order was taken while we were still eating starters, which wasn't great, and the mains came before the starters had been cleared from the table. My grandparents wanted to take their food home, and we were given takeaway boxes to put the food in ourselves. This is normally something done for you.
Food: The chilli paneer starter was delicious I must say! I ordered chicken tikka masalla which is normally a mild dish, but it tasted more like a madras as it was much spicier. My grandparents also said their dishes were spicier than they expected, compared to the same dishes had at other restaurants. The food was nice though, very big portions and well presented.
Price: The prices aren't cheap, but the portions are big (our my starter alone could have been shared with 2-3 people). The food is also nice and well presented. You get what you pay for and I think the food is worth the price!
With some improvements to the service this could be a...
