Lovely restaurant, friendly attentive staff. Starter of chilli chicken, plentiful and delicious, starter of dosa was lovely but not enough filling. The two curries that we had both sauces were delicious however 4 very small pieces of chicken in each curry which was not only disappointing but definitely not value for money. The rice very well cooked and tasty but again the portion size was small the price of the rice was high for the portion size. Parotta bread was the size of a saucer that you use if you are posh and drink tea from a cup and saucer again reflection of the price was not value for money. So just to conclude I have give 4/5 stars, it would have been 5/5 if the chicken was a little more plentiful and the rice and bread larger along with more filling in the dosa

Popped in on a Friday evening after being seduced by the delicious smells wafting out of the front door. We were lucky to get a seat as they were heavily booked but the staff were able to squeeze us in so I would recommend booking if you are thinking about going. To cut a long story short, the food is very, very good. Bold, authentic flavours with enough nuance and layers to keep it interesting, generous portions and friendly staff who are able to help if you are unfamiliar with the menu choices. We had the masala dosa and lamb biryani, both of which I would recommend, but I did notice that they have a weekend Special Biryani so I will definitely be returning to try it given how good the 'standard' version is.

Support small independent business! Wanted to post about Dosa Kings, which has newly opened up in Sale (opposite Wetherspoons, where El Boliche was) and ordered the following which was all very delicious! Highly recommended and certainly one to try! - Lamb Chukka (starter - need to have a high spicy tolerance but fantastic flavour!) - Onion Rava Dosa (main - no spice tolerance required but very flavourful, especially with the condiments that go with it) - South Indian filter coffee (to finish - not many places have this and it isn’t very common in the U.K. but personally really like it, I always order it if it’s on the menu anywhere) Oh and a cheeky beer of course, to drown the spice from my starter 🍻

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Dosa Kingss Restaurant and wanted to share my experience. We ordered a variety of dishes including the Thalapakattu Lamb Biryani, Masala Dosa, Ghee Roast Dosa, Crab Curry, along with some refreshing drinks and a Kulfi scoop for dessert.

Let me start by saying that the Masala Dosa and Ghee Roast Dosa were absolutely delicious. The dosas were perfectly cooked with a crisp texture on the outside and a soft, flavorful filling inside. The accompanying chutneys and sambar complemented the dosas wonderfully. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and spices in both of these dishes.

The Crab Curry was another standout dish. It had a rich and spicy flavor profile that perfectly complemented the tender crab meat. The spices were well balanced, and the curry had a depth of flavor that left me wanting more. It was definitely a highlight of the meal.

As for the Thalapakattu Lamb Biryani, while the taste was commendable, I did find the rice to be a bit dry. The flavors of the biryani were spot on, with the aromatic blend of spices and the tender pieces of lamb, but the rice lacked the desired moisture that would have taken it to the next level. Nonetheless, it was still a tasty dish overall.

To end the meal on a sweet note, we indulged in a Kulfi scoop. The Kulfi was creamy, smooth, and had a perfect balance of sweetness. It was a delightful way to conclude the dining experience.

Overall, my visit to Dosa Kingss Restaurant was enjoyable. The Masala Dosa and Ghee Roast Dosa were delicious, the Crab Curry packed a flavorful punch, and the Kulfi scoop was a satisfying dessert. While the Thalapakattu Lamb Biryani could have had moister rice, the taste was still great. The service was attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant. I would recommend Dosa Kingss to anyone looking for tasty South Indian cuisine with a variety of...

Overall a nice place with good quality food. Spicer than any other restaurant have been to so not for those who don't like spice. Torn between 3 and 4 stars but went for 4 as although the service did let the overall experience down, the food was nice and the staff were pleasant.

Service: The lady serving us was lovely, however the service provided needs improvement. We were initially asked for our orders to be taken pretty quickly. We said we weren't ready but we were asked if we would at least order the starters, which we did. The mains order was taken while we were still eating starters, which wasn't great, and the mains came before the starters had been cleared from the table. My grandparents wanted to take their food home, and we were given takeaway boxes to put the food in ourselves. This is normally something done for you.

Food: The chilli paneer starter was delicious I must say! I ordered chicken tikka masalla which is normally a mild dish, but it tasted more like a madras as it was much spicier. My grandparents also said their dishes were spicier than they expected, compared to the same dishes had at other restaurants. The food was nice though, very big portions and well presented.

Price: The prices aren't cheap, but the portions are big (our my starter alone could have been shared with 2-3 people). The food is also nice and well presented. You get what you pay for and I think the food is worth the price!

With some improvements to the service this could be a...

A Fantastic Indian Dining Experience in Manchester

If you’re looking for an exceptional Indian dining experience in Manchester, this restaurant is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality, setting the tone for a delightful evening.

The food was absolutely outstanding—each dish bursting with authentic flavors and expertly prepared with the finest ingredients. From the rich and creamy butter chicken to the perfectly spiced biryanis, every bite was a treat. The naan was freshly baked, soft, and paired beautifully with the flavorful curries. The vegetarian options were just as impressive, with the chilli paneer and veg Manchurian being standouts.

The service was impeccable—the staff were attentive, friendly, and eager to recommend dishes based on our preferences. Despite the restaurant being busy, everything arrived promptly, and the team ensured we had a wonderful experience.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a cozy meal with family or a fun night out with friends. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere makes this one of the best Indian restaurants in Manchester. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to...
