The J. P. Joule JD Wetherspoons — Restaurant in Trafford

I rarely rate Wetherspoons pubs as they are always great value for money and very friendly service but today at JP Joule I had the worst experience at a Wetherspoons ever. Whoever was "managing" the upstairs part informed me after booking drinks on the App I had to go downstairs and order from now on as they were short of staff. No problem, I went downstairs for my next order and overheard staff complaining about upstairs. My next order I decided to order on the App as the bars were quite and bar staff were standing around. I waited 10 minutes and remembering I was told by the "manager" upstairs there was no service for orders allowed up from downstairs I went down and complained after complaining I received my order promptly. If there is an app/staff problem Wetherspoons need to make this clearer as it can lead to very unhappy customers I have been to Wetherspoons where the App has been shut down at busy times and I find that...

I went here in the morning as had to drop my car off round the corner for an MOT. It's a wetherspoons so you sorta know what you are going to get, but there are wetherspoons and then there are wetherspoons.....

This one thankfully was a good one. Say in a window seat, ordered breakfast and a drink, opened my laptop and got on with work for about 3 hrs. Staff were friendly then left me alone. Service was prompt and food was good. Had a good selection of bar drinks, plenty draught and bottled and enough selection of low and alcohol free.

Place was cosy with upstairs seating, clean and tidy. It's right in the centre of Sale so conveniently located.

Will definitely use this place again when over this way. Only gave it 4 stars on atmosphere as is was only there in the morning so was quiet so my visit may have been unrepresentative of a Friday or Saturday night. I was there for somewhere to work for...

Staff at the bar are lovely, but for me the place is boring! No music and just not my cup of tea. The security guard was very rude 20 minutes before closing he come to the table and said come on now girls and then went onto the other table, we thought he ment drink up as are drinks were all still full 5 minutes after he come over to the table again and said I said come now girls and then stood at are table till we got up from feeling uncomfortable I asked could I just use the toilet as there was other people still sat at other tables and he told me I was not aloud as they were closing even though they was still open for another 15 minutes, I would personally never go back here and would definitely...
