Rustic — Restaurant in Trafford

Not sure where to start…disabled toilet was in a disgusting state, tables were sticky, pepper sachets on table and chairs from the previous customers, given a dirty straw, back cushion on the table closest to the kitchen fell off. Luckily this did not injure my son!

Waited approx 45 minutes (if not longer) for our food, not once did Autumn the waitress come over to apologise for the wait. Restaurant was not busy as there were only 2 other tables. Every item that eventually arrived was over done but as we had waited so long some items we just ate.

Some items we had no choice but to inform the waitress as they were inedible. The kids chicken nuggets had to be sent back as they were rock hard and she was very hungry by that point. The other kids Mac and cheese was sat in a pool of oil but we did not mention that as we were already fed up by that point, that was left uneaten.

The chicken sliders from the platter were way over cooked, the brioche bun so over toasted it became like a biscuit. The belly pork was burnt and looked like bits of charcoal, not sure how it was even allowed to leave the kitchen. Even the chips were over cooked but somewhat edible. It was either the young chefs 1st day or he was just bought in to deputise at short notice.

Bought these issues up with ‘Autumn’ but her response was shocking. Stood there for a good few minutes saying ‘that’s how we cook our food’ , ‘it’s personal preference’ , ‘the head chef isn’t in today’ and smirking not knowing how to handle the situation. A simple apology and offer to redo or take the items off the bill would have been a good start but clearly out of her depth in running FOH. She eventually offered to redo the food but we did not want to wait another 45 minutes and if that’s how you cook your food then it wouldn’t of made a difference.

Asked to speak to a manager, abruptly told NO. Asked the young male ‘chef’ to speak to a manager as he walked past but Autumn told him to ‘ignore her, go inside’ which he duly obliged. Have never come across such disgusting customer service!!

Service was so bad I had to laugh as it felt like I was hearing things! Then she had the audacity to say ‘I’ve taken the service charge off for you’!! Sorry but if you think you deserve anything then you’re in the wrong job!!...

Not very welcoming on arrival , family of 4 Dinning , reserved a table on a saturday night , spare booth downstairs but shoved upstairs in room full of loud drinkers , we were the only people eating upstairs which is a drinking lounge , couldn't here each other speak , table not cleaned had to wait ages to order a drink , then drinks took for ever to arrive , ordered food took for ever , wrong food brought to table , told to have it anyway , then we had to ask for cuttlery and napkins as they didnt set the table , had to send my main course back it wasnt what I had ordered, they then said they would change it , by the time I finally got my order my whole family had finished there food , it was some of the same food I sent back warmed back up with a fresh burger ! Dry and rubbery , all food very very salty, not alot of flavour , then presented with the bill to be told i had to pay for everything even the food we didnt order ! What a joke ! Original bill over £60 , it finished up £45 by the time it was amended no apoligie , and glared at by other staff , whilst sorting the bill out , not a nice experience for a family of 4 trying out new and up and coming places to eat will not be returning here...

Ordered 2 sliders for £9.75 and although they are sliders (small) I was expecting them to be very tasty with interesting and robust flavours to justify the silly price. Sadly, they were about 10cm in diameter and very bland/ boring, main flavour for both was salt. Very poor value. I had the fried chicken slider which consisted of a bun, a slither of soggy lettuce on the bottom and some onion and then a very overcooked, dry, minuscule slither of fried chicken which was hard in places and very dark, possibly burnt and with no sauce so hard to eat and just not flavoursome at all. The halloumi burger was equally dull but atleast not dry. Unfortunately just really boring and overpriced imo. My friends found their full size burgers boring and overpriced and again soggy due to tomato and lettuce soaking too long on the bottom, underwhelming but edible and ok. The wings were very small. The flavour combo of the disco fries was good but the fries themselves very soggy, if they were crispy they would make a very nice side dish. Woman with blond hair was poe faced and grumpy without cause. Other staff were friendly though. Would not come back for food but maybe for drinks as seemed like a...
