Established in 2016 by husband & wife duo, The Spicy Biker has come from being a mobile pop-up kitchen, that you will see at various food festivals & markets, to opening up their very first restaurant in Nov ’23, based in Wakefield city centre. Serving authentic Indian food from “mum’s kitchen” that’s been given a Spicy Biker twist.
I first discovered the delights of the Spicy Biker a few years ago at one of their popups at Suppa Club, Elsecar. In Nov ’23, they opened their very first restaurant in Wakefield City Centre, and myself and 3 of my foodie friends booked a bottomless brunch last October. It was fantastic!
For just £35 (As of 1st March 2025, this will change to £40pp) you get a Thali including two curries (I went with the Chicken and the Lentil curries), basmati rice, naan bread, onion bhajis and an extra side of your choice (I went with meat samosas). Not forgetting the drinks, which are bottomless for 90 mins and include Prosecco, house wine, bottles of cobra and various cocktails, pitchers, and alcohol free options.
The food was exquisite, and the chef personally brought out an extra curry for us all to share and try (lamb rogan josh), which was so tasty. You get PLENTY of food, but I didn’t find it over-facing. Maybe I am greedy haha! But if it’s a little too much, you can take the rest away. The meal is all presented beautifully, which adds to the experience and we managed about 4/5 drinks each, so a good effort (we had a lot to talk about haha). The bhajis are massive, crisp and freshly made which is fantastic.
Indian Food and bottomless drinks HAS to be my all time favourite! The restaurant has other drinks and meals on offer too of course

Read moreWe placed an order at their street market stall. After waiting around 20 minutes, we informed staff we no longer wished to wait (my sons autistic so waiting is difficult) so requested a refund. We were told this had been issued. Over a week later, no refund has been received. In your recent email, you stated that you believe a 20 minute wait is acceptable. Regardless of your opinion on wait times, the fact remains that we did not receive the goods we paid for. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if goods are not supplied, the customer is entitled to a full refund within 14 days of the agreement being cancelled.
If payment is not returned within 3 working days, I will escalate this to Trading Standards and my bank for chargeback on the grounds of non supply of goods.
REPLY: I have messages between myself and my husband from 14:05 which he states he is still waiting for his food, at 14:24 nearly an hour after ordering from you he purchased from the Mac and cheese stall because he was starving after waiting so long. The receipt for refund emailed to us is for items he did not order so you clearly refunded the wrong people hence why the card numbers don’t match. You lied and said my husband was giving you “death stares” considering he has eye cancer and has to wear sunglasses outside I’d say that would be difficult for him to do. You’ve now disputed our chargeback, you have said here you are fine to refund but...
Read moreBeen tonight for first time. Was very apprehensive about going as I like the traditional curry restaurants. The decor was errm interesting. A sign saying “no dickheads” wasn’t the best when you have young children. Chipboard everywhere as if it was a cheap place.. it was anything but! £13 for an onion bahji. £9 for a tiny cocktail.. Were told they’d run out of chicken chapli kebabs which was a shame as 3 of us had chosen them but can’t be helped so we chose some kinda chicken pieces in batter. Unfortunately only one turned up instead of three so had to wait another 20 minutes for the rest. The coating was nice but the chicken was rather suspect. Not really much to choose from for mains apart from butter chicken so most of us had that. It was tasty but no better than something you’d get from Aldi or M & S. Chips ok, rice just plain. Naan bread nice but ordered 3 which came cut up on 2 small plates so not sure what that was all about. Tandoori crushed potatoes were nice. Service was poor. Bit of a shambles tbh. No more cutlery brought out. Plates not removed & had to use them again for mains or eat straight out of the dish. I knew it would be different & it was ok but wouldn’t go again. Normally we spend about £80 - £90 for 2 adults & 2 children. That’s a top notch place ordering exactly what you want. This with a very limited menu...
