Bay Leaf — Restaurant in Wales

Asked for a table for 2 and was told they did not have any free for 2hrs. But as we did not book, we thought fair enough, and we tried other outlets nearby. but really fancied a curry so we opted for a takeaway, whilst we were ordering a family of 3 walked in and asked the same guy as I had spoken to and he ushered the to a table they had not booked. I looked at the guy in amazement, and the older guy apologised and took our takeaway order. It was only because my wife was hungry that I did not lose my rag as it was totally disrespectful.

My visits to Indian restaurants are few indeed. I presume due to my lack of knowledge of the food and which accompanying dishes are complimentary to the meal. Whenever I have the benefit of guidance I have always enjoyed the experience. Such was the case on 8th May, my meal at the Bayleaf was outstanding. So, having just left there here’s our review. We have been going here for 20+years not every week but every now and again. Having not been there for a while this is how we were treated, when asked how the food was (chicken was extremely tough) as we were answering they walked away.
