I regularly pop in for what is one of the nicest cappuccino in Cardiff. I love this place as it is very cosy, nice vibe, very pleasant location with a view of the park. Like any place it's not just the goods or the location, it is also about the service and staff. The service and staff are both extremely pleasant and very good. The only reason I've not given a 5 is because the owner who is often there has absolutely no customer interaction skills whatsoever. There is no welcome or hello, no thank you nor no goodbye. We the customer are who is keeping his business alive yet he expresses zero appreciation that you have chosen to go spend money at his establishment. He doesn't even acknowledge a customer either entering or leaving! This even applies to regulars like myself. If I was running any business I would always make sure any customer felt that their visit and custom was very much appreciated. I stress that all the customer facing staff are superb, maybe the owner should learn some customer interaction...

I am a lover of dogs we share our lives with two, I think it’s great that dogs are welcomed inside, today I took a friend there (without my dogs) for a coffee and toastie like others have mentioned you have people pushing behind you at the counter and bums in your face why can’t they do table service ? Food and drinks were ok but we objected to having huge dogs wandering around with no leads on one guy came in with two huge labradoodles not on the lead he had no control over them so the dogs are lovely it’s the owners at fault. There was a lady opposite who was clearly nervous about them, having a lead that says friendly doesn’t reassure people. Always a pleasant little stop off when in canton and visiting Vicky park with the kids. The staff and the service are always great, very friendly and welcoming and for such a small little premises they have a great selection of cold and hot beverages as well as delicious treats and lunches. Had a rather delicious vegan sandwich and brownie today with an oat chai latte, couldn't fault it. I'm sure I'm not the only local who raised an eyebrow when finding out this former toilet block was being converted into a cafe but it's such a great addition to the area and would be lost without it now.
