Butchers Arms — Restaurant in Wales

The butchers used to be a great family run pub 12 years ago. My father had the pub for 18 years. We was always busy and had four tv's on in the bar for horse racing, football, rugby and what ever else that was on. Now it isn't as popular unfortunately they havnt got a manager to run it like my dad. This is a lovely little pub. Deffinatly a welcoming friendly vibe in their ..doesn't matter if you don't know anyone or go in on your own you will end up talking or knowing someone . Have karaoke nights and tvs good music 2 outdoor gardens and a back room ..love the people .lots of regulars too . Everyone relaxed gets up enjoys themselves or has a dance on Fridays if they want no onecares it's a pub to feel comftable have fun or just sit there Gary the landlord is just the nicest person ever such a warm welcoming nice man ...Great landlord ..Best pub in canton by far ..never...

The new Chef / Landlord clearly knows what he is doing food wise, beers also well looked after. It is a work in progress whilst the old Butchers is transformed into the new! We had a lovely Sunday Lunch. Beef was the perfect Pink, Veg just cooked, nice roasties and yorkshire pud. Whilst this is not the most complex of meals, to do it right at a good value for money price is tricky. We will definitely be back. It is a traditional pub, no sport, just a bit of music.
