🍝 This Italian lunch at Calabrisella, Cathays brought the flavours of Calabria straight to Cardiff – and every bite was bellissimo. 🌟 Full of warmth, richness, and real Italian soul.

🍴 What we had: 🍽️ Polpette – Juicy beef meatballs in a rich tomato & red wine sauce 🍷🍅. Served with crusty bread for the ultimate dip-and-devour moment. 🍕 Cotto Pizza – Thin, crispy base loaded with ham, mushrooms & melty mozzarella. Simple, satisfying, perfetto. 🍝 Pasta Calabrese – Spicy ‘nduja, Italian sausage, and a rich tomato & wine sauce = chef’s kiss 👨‍🍳. 🍰 Tiramisù – Creamy, dreamy, and impossible to skip even when full. Pure bliss 😍.

I could have sworn that I have reviewed this awesome place previously, so it speaks volumes on that front that I have just eaten here for the fourth time that I can recall.

The atmosphere is wonderfully friendly and the food is fantastic. The English breakfast with Welsh ingredients in Italian style is a firm and consistent favourite , but anything on the menu is a good bet for delicious food.

It’s only a desire to try new places and enjoy the excellent variety that Cardiff has to offer that prevents us from eating here more often.

100% recommended. This review was for the Cathays location but we have tried the other restaurants as well and the quality...

What a fantastic place! I visited last night as part of a large group (we took over the whole venue) and I was amazed at how well the team of staff handled us, they were so well organised - food was brought out in a logical way which really added to the experience as you didn't end up with just one or two people on a table eating while the rest of the table waits (as can often happen with a large group).

The food tasted great, with a few vegan options, and reasonably priced, too. There was no issue at the end of the evening when people wanted to pay individually, either, which was also a bonus.

The staff were lovely, too. I couldn't recommend this...
