Poutine Box — Restaurant in Wales

First time customer here, and I’m not normally a regular reviewer but in this instance I must. I’ll start by saying the food was bone cold, and I started eating immediately after leaving and getting into my car. I could tell the food was good tasting but the temperature ruins it completely for me. That’s why I never get delivery and get it myself, because I like fresh, hot/warm food.

Moreover, I felt like the people working there really didn’t like their job, ordering somewhere for the first time can be confusing despite the neat visual adverts and I only got blunt answers. I can tell regulars are looked after at this place, as there was a stark difference to their mood and customer service while I was there, but this place isn’t for me in future to...

After about 2 years coming here on a weekly basis, Poutine box is my favourite restaurant/take away in Cardiff. You just simply can't fault anything. It's even better than what I was having in Canada, with the variety of styles and specials really putting its own take on Poutine for the better. My personal favourites are the Montreal or the Poutine Mac&Cheese, but the monthly specials have had some amazing options in the past . I also like that it's cooked to order, so it's always fresh and piping hot. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. You never feel rushed and it's always very clean inside to sit down and enjoy their food. I can't recommend Poutine Box...

My partner and I ordered “The Vegan” with an extra Beyond Burger on top.

First we were served something we did not order at all. A “Mac and Cheese” box.

After waiting for a bit longer, they finally served “The Vegan” boxes we asked for, but without the extra Beyond Burger.

When I mentioned, they denied first then showed them the ticket. The guy in the open kitchen proceeded to cook the Beyond Burgers in the same surface as the rest of the meat and using the same utensils he used for the sausages, despite they had a grill labelled as veggie.

Of course, the guy in the till denied again when I mentioned the cross food contamination.
