The Woodville — Restaurant in Wales

The Woodville has changed up their menu in recent weeks, so we were excited about the addition of more plant based options. However, one of the meals lacked components and then, after asking to get it checked, they overloaded the burger with a questionable amount of humus. After this, I tried to redeem a free pint via the "We Love Sport" app. I asked for a pint of Coors, as the app said I could have a free pint. I even went as far as getting a drink off the meal deal options, as i assumed it would be the cheaper drinks in this promotional offer. Unfortunately, the lady behind the bar was far too rigid and awkward. She explained that Coors wasn't on the offer, only Carling and Dark Fruits. So I quickly said, "Can I have a Carling instead please, if it's not too late." She said that she had already done that pint and CONTINUED to pour the drink.

In summary, we were met with food that was below the average we had previously seen at The Woodville and a rather passive-aggressive employee. I'm not likely to return, if I'm honest. The food has become overpriced for the serving sizes and the staff, unfortunately,...

What a gem this place is. Went for the bottomless brunch, and it was fantastic. I had the kg of chicken wings, because I identify as 2 - 3 people. Absolutely fantastic food, I was very surprised how good it was. Im a Guinness drinker, and can confirm it was on point. Mind your head on the gents toilets 🤣🤣 i did almost scalp myself. The pub itself is very inviting, and the staff are exceptional and very helpful. I turned up on my bike, so was conscious about having it in view which the staff were happy to accommodate. Very homely and warm inside also super clean including the toilets. Overall a must visit place in cardiff. I was over the moon with this pub, and will be frequenting it. Recommend...

I went to pop in to the Woodville before a meeting, read my papers, chill with a drink but a £1 entrance charge was demanded of me. I said I had never heard of being charged into a pub and it was absolutely ridiculous. The reason given was the drinks were very cheap. The young man collecting the money at the door and described as 'assistant manager' followed me to the bar and banged the pound down in front of me saying 'I am not going to be talked to like that ' and walked off leaving the barman to say he wouldn't serve me.
