Ordered a strawberry shortbread sundae. Got some vanilla and strawberry ice-cream with some cream and a garnishing of shortbread crumbs. I ate some of it thinking the shortbread would be in the centre or a little further down, but there was no shortbread in my sundae. Lolz. I asked the staff at the counter what this was? Thinking they may have made a mistake, and got told that is the way they make their shortbread sundae. This was definitely NOT one. Also the sundae must have had 1 strawberry in it in total. Manager was rude to staff Infront of me, saying she should not have given a refund but offered an alternative. To which I suggested that they should maybe have the correct description listed on the menu. Maybe it should have been called strawberry and vanilla ice-cream garnished with a pinch of shortbread. Lolz. Service was also all over the place. Coffee came first, then 15mins later the deserts came one after another approx 5mins apart min. Waffle was fluffy, and light. However the Nutella tasted more like milk chocolate instead. The Oreo overload was more of an underload very dry due to lack of milk chocolate/nutella. The crepes were decent. Generally, nice interior,lame service though they tried. Maybe it was the service from the kitchen, but I was given my coffee without a spoon etc. Coffee tasted like Tassimo coffee and the cup was half empty. Read moreI cannot believe that the girl working today told us if we are done and if we could leave as there was a family waiting. First of all we have only been there for about 30 minutes. There were people who were there before us and the fact that out of everyone around us, they chose us. This has never happened to me ever and normally places have time limits even so they don’t kick people out. It is very disrespectful and I’m very surprised and disappointed as their milkshake was good too. We came back to speak to the girl but she did not even apologise. Thankfully the other guy did and was empathetic about it. I just don’t think its something staff should do. It’s very weird and I take it personally because if it was another group of people or family, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t ask them. You just don’t kick customer out just because there are other people waiting. Maybe change your time limit policy or have a bigger space to accommodate people. The service over the last 7 months has been appalling, and I still kept going back thinking it must be a fluke. I've eaten from here 5 times in the past 2 months. I've ordered 3 times through Ubereats. It always takes over an hour to get here and is always freezing cold. The first time, I thought it was an outlier, but getting cold food and dessert again today today has really irritated me. The last 2 times I went in person, the food has taken forever to be given and has been lukewarm at best.
I'm honestly not sure if managerment or the workers have changed but it's very disappointing.
Review from February 2024 I've had both take out and an eat in experience here. The take out boxes are very cute I must say.
