My first time in Swansea I went to this restaurant and the reason was that the inside looked clean and new. So I proceeded to order the food for myself and my partner after the girl took out the first meal she proceeded onto the second one and whilst doing this the noodles fell on her arm. She then decided that she would take the tongs and remove the noodles from her arm and put into my food. I looked at her wondering if she was for REAL. When I asked her about it and why would she do that she then looked at me like it was nothing wrong and then asked me what meat I wanted. I informed her that I would not be taking that meal she started looking at me in shock and asked " you don't want it" . I responded again NO as I think that she thinks that maybe we are family so that something that falls on any part of her anatomy is okay for me to consume. No apology, no let me take out another one for you. Nothing, nada, zilch, just pure lack of customer service and hospitality. It would be negligent of me not to mention the fact that we are in a COVID pandemic and someone wants me to eat food off of them....highlights how this crazy this is and worse that the girl seemed bewildered by my disapproval. I would also like to know if they are trained here in food hygiene cause I am pretty sure this is basic...
Read moreMe and my partner had eaten here the other day as we were in town.
I had ordered a large box with prawns, katsu , and caramel chicken while my partner ordered a small box with caramel chicken as he wasn’t that hungry.
The portion sizes were perfect as none of them had too little nor too much food in them and all the food is always fresh. You can see it being prepared in front of you behind the counter.
My only complaint is the queue sizes and the prices. Maybe you shouldn’t go here if you are waiting for the train like we did. We had a 15 minute wait or so for the food. Which is a bit long but there is not much they can do since the place is popular. My other complaint is the prices. It’s alright if you are going there once or twice but it can put a small dent in your wallet if you go there very often.
In my opinion the food is not as good as the Cardiff branch but they are only have been open for a couple of days and the chefs are still in training. I am looking to turn my 3 star rating into a 4 or 5 in the near future. I am also looking forward to eating with you again.
I would recommend you...
Read moreFirst experience of this place on Saturday 16/8.. the young lady behind the counter advised one vegetarian and one meat-eater... took this info in her stride and confidently gave sound advice on product availability and choice in a cool, confident manner. We chose to eat indoors and sat at the back of the place to minimise the noise from aircon system which was the only 'downer'. The food, in our views, is superb tasting, hot and a great mix of flavours that compliment eachother. A meal thoroughly enjoyed left us satisfied and rather full too.. ok we had the larger portion but a smaller one would have been good. Did we enjoy?? yes we did, very much. Was the service good?? yes it was.. polite, confident and well informed staff. Did we feel that we had value for money??.. yes we did.. WIll we return??.. without a doubt. Any downsides??.. Louder than usual air conditioning system, but manageable for the short time...
