Their selection of board games is pretty good, their ttrpg game book shelf more comprehensive than a lot of places so that's nice.

Bright sound space makes it hard to hear anything or filter others. If you're not there for their events the tannoy is jolting and cuts across everything so if you're not there for one of their planned things, prepare to be disrupted. Lights are your standard fluorescent tube nightmare but that's pretty standard everywhere like this.

Staff are a bit too in your face for me, I prefer to just be left alone but I can see they're trying to be friendly in a difficult marketplace so. eh.

Reasonable gaming space of last resort. Space is very male (an issue with gamer spaces generally) and sometimes feel somewhat exposed going up to use the loo and suchlike.

Really amazing new local game shop. Very friendly and welcoming, happy to answer questions and help out with any queries. Great value for money with the bonus that they'll order spesific items if able and hold back any items that you've ordered with them or that they'll be getting stock of. Happy to give demo's of games that you've never played before. A nice up stairs gaming room with plently of space for people to enjoy themselves. Other customers are generally friendly and willing to help and play with everyone. Toilets are clean and well maintained.

For purchasing hobby needs quickly it's very convenient. Great range of paints and other hobby tools. They have a good varied range of products for games (40k, bloodbowl, Shatterpoint, etc) but not as wide a range of those products as you'd find in a Wargammer store, for example. That is to be expected in an independent local store. Good range of board games for sale too and collectable card games if that's what you're after. Prices are slightly higher than online retailers but again that's normal for a small business that can't bulk buy like Amazon, etc. Prices are still good though. I haven't played games here but they do offer playing areas which is good for the local...
