My girlfriend rang to book a table she was told the table would be ready for the pair of us for 8:30 when we turned up at 7:45 we was told the chef had already gone there was no table booked which clearly it was booked as this was our date night and it was our first date night so my girlfriend look very disappointed I was absolutely fuming the bartender just stood there laughing thinking that we was joking which really upset myself and my girlfriend we have not returned to the pub we was going to come back but my girlfriend has been there plenty of times before said the food was absolutely excellent but we will not be returning due to the her name and was told that there was no stable and that your chef had gone so we decided that we had to leave by that point to go and get food absolutely devastated she was I was not in a very good mood myself and for that reason we will not be back one of your boss I thought it was earlier larrius and says to my girlfriend when she said that she had a table booked for 8:30 for the two of them for food and he just sat there and laughed which I thought was quite bloody ignorant to be truthful we have not return back to this pub and we won't be coming back either and less this gets sorted because at the end of the day from when you book a reservation for a table you don't expect to be told sorry chefs gone and then your staff stand there and laugh very unacceptable and very...

Absolutely disgusting 😩four of us visited here whilst on a shopping trip.we ordered four meals (2 burger meals a scampi and a steak and ale pie)at the bar and 2 jugs of cocktails.the cocktails resembled a jug of squash or no ice no garnish at all. We were told the ice would follow but We had to go to the bar and ask for it! 2 of the 4 meals came out ( the scampi and pie) and were ok. The other two meals failed to arrive. 10 mins later ( the 2 meals that had arrived had been eaten) we inquired at the bar where the staff were less than helpful. They then came and said that they had sold out of pies..we explained that we weren't missing pies but 2 burger meals.another 20 mins later 2 burnt to the crisp meals were brought to the table the lady that brought the meals did say" sorry for the wait" but that was it.when we complained at the bar the staff were plain ignorant! Totally ignored my husband.. a couldn't care less attitude by every one of them! Will never...

The food was really nice. The waitress was helpful and came over to double check the order as my son had made some amendments to his meal on ordering. This is really important to us as my son is very particular about what food he eats and if it was to come incorrect he wouldn't be able to eat it.

We had a nice, spacious window seat. It was fairly quiet. It was a cheap and cheerful meal that was very tasty.

The only downside to this pub is the patrons on occasions, but these are the pubs bread and butter. They didn't cause any harm or interference to us. There are a lot of what appears to be single gentlemen visiting for a quiet drink and some seem to spend a lot of time here but they don't appear to be any hassle. There seems to be the odd loud, shouty group that pass through, but they didn't cause us an issue. I guess it may be a consideration for some, particularly if you have...
