Coffi Lab Wellfield Road — Restaurant in Wales

This place is a great local spot to work/study/read or catch up with a friend. The staff are so lovely and it’s a genuinely dog friendly place - we love bringing our golden retriever in here for a pup cup, ice cream or biscuit and the staff always make a fuss and are really lovely. There’s a nice atmosphere and the place is nicely designed, particularly with the seating out front on a nice day. There’s plenty of space and seating with plugs if you’re working, although it does get busy in here, especially around lunch time. The only downside is that some things are a little overpriced - almost £5 for a smoothie made of frozen mix, and the same for a toastie. I unfortunately spilt my whole cup of coffee onto my daughter. Thankfully she wasn’t burnt but then I had to leave her sat there at the table whilst I joined the back of the queue for another (it was hers). I know it was my own fault for slipping and knocking it over and it all dropped to the floor covering my daughter in the process who was soaked, but it would have been a nice gesture on the cafes part to offer to make me one more whilst I cleaned her up. I apologised many times but I felt their annoyance. I go every weekend but this was particularly busy and noisy.. plus what happened with my coffee it has left me feeling that it’s a rather unwelcoming environment so will select one of the other lovely cafe on...

Coffilab has my heart✨ it’s the perfect place to go for a yap session or to work/study - the drinks are on the more expensive side (like £4 average) and I would say the cakes and food bits are quite expensive and, dare I say, too sweet but I come here probably 3 times a week and that’s not an exaggeration - it’s a lovely open space with outdoor seating too - lots of cute doggos and babies every time I go and lots of spaces with plug sockets too!! Free WiFi is very helpful :) - highly recommend the green retriever, any of the coffees, matcha is decent and the only food item I would get is the sourdough toast; INSANE.
