My lower rating has nothing to do with the food as that was stunning, l had chilli chips + the burger with all the toppings. Although if it wasn't for the £10 off deal l would never had paid the full amount for the food. How can you justify paying over £5 for large fries that came in a large drink cup?? For £5 worth of chip shop chips you could feed a large family. The reason for the lower stars was the terrible hygiene + lack of standards for C-19 within the restaurant that l witnessed whilst eating there. We did queue at front door to wait to be seated but after that it went down hill. There was no system for walking around the restaurant + everyone was coming + going as they pleased. The hand sanitiser wasn't by the door as you entered it was right in front of the drinks machine where people were queuing for their drinks (which again didn't have any distance markings). We were given a temporary paper menu, which when we finished with it was placed back on the original pile to be given to the next unsuspecting victim. Whilst waiting for our food l watched people come + go + the young waiter come table cleaner wore mask + gloves but for the whole time we were there he used the same gloves to give out menus, clean tables + hand you your food!! He went to a cupboard area to grab a cloth but no disinfectant + "cleaned" (using the term very loosely) one table, then onto the next with the same cloth + then went back to the cupboard + threw the cloth down next to the menus!!! BUT THEN to make things worse he went to grab the food to serve to customers whilst wearing the same gloves!!! 🤦Thankfully we weren't served our food by this young lad but that's not to say our waiter wasn't doing the same. There were a lot of youngsters in there + one group of 4 were given a table but obviously didn't like it for whatever reason + moved tables 3 times. But because they hadn't had any food during this time their tables looked "clean" but as they had been leaning on them + had their belongings on them the staff didn't clean any of the tables they had been sitting at. On leaving the restaurant, we had to ask people who were queuing to get in if they could move for...

What can I say about 5 guys other than don't bother!
I found myself visiting my ancestoral home of Swansea Prison and I ended up meandering my way up Wind Street when I stubbed my toe and screamed "you smarmy git!" on the front door of Five Guys in Swansea.
The interior decor was akin to that of the Woolworths lunch counter of 1960s fame. Charming. Quirky. With a seasoning of segregation and racism. I will never understand the American way of thinking. They are truly a bizzare lot. Cheese, guns and "mom 'n pop" type diners (an image and ideology that belongs more in the history books than front and center stage in Swansea).
I was greeted warmly by the server, he said "can I take your order sir?"
And I simply replied "No!" Before skipping out of the "restaurant".
I realised after an hour of telling people I was "The King of Swansea" and "behold my mighty throne room!" While pointing at the public toilets in the Quadrant, I was hungry and decided I knew what I wanted.
I ordered my food and boy oh boy, this was NOT a meal befitting my status as King LeCox.
I love hotdogs. But this was a bland, tasteless, boring as all hell hot dog. I have picked my nose and eaten more flavourful things than that hotdog. It boggles the mind how an allegedly good food chain can mess up something so basic.

Read moreFirst visit and will not be returning. VERY expensive. And we didn't even get our food! Ordered 2 burgers and chips with drinks, were told it would be a 10 minute wait. 30 minutes later and we were still waiting. Went to the order point and were told our order number had already been collected - by someone else! They offered to cook a fresh order but by this time it was 22:40 and we were hungry so we asked for a refund instead, which they did give us. They implied it was our fault telling us people usually ask sooner if their food hasn't arrived - perhaps we're too patient?! We suggested it might be an idea to check people's receipts when they collect an order but were told they don't do that because that would be 'embarrassing' - more embarrassing than having customer complaints and having to give a full refund?! Because it was too late to go anywhere else we ended up in McDonald's, not quite the same quality (presumably) but at a third of the price it was better than...
