Kokodoo Swansea — Restaurant in Wales

The bar staff are lovely, but I can't say the same for the kitchen. We booked a table for 8.00 pm and finally got our food just before 10.00. It was busy in there, but not excessively so, and when I passed the kitchen i could see they had plenty of staff. The bar staff kept chasing the kitchen and even texted the owner. Eventually one of the lovely ladies in the bar went up to the kitchen and did not leave until she had our food on a tray in her hands. If we had not have paid in advance I would have left. It may be coincidence, but I had an upset stomach the following day. Verve 37 is going to lose a lot of custom if they continue to rent their kitchen to Kokodoo.

Update: I made a point of highlighting the fact that there were plenty of staff in the kitchen because the standard excuse is that someone has called in sick, which is the excuse given here. As for abuse to the staff, as suggested in the reply to my review, that certainly didn't come from us. In fact, one of the bar staff thanked us for not being awkward. Update on my previous review They did in fact replace our whole order and flavours and portions sizes back to their high standards. Loads of.flavour and loads of food. You can't ask for more. Thank you for fixing everything. We will be ordering again.

This place was always amazing and we were regular customers. But tonight that's changed and we'll never order from there again

We ordered 2 boxes of soy chicken wings. 2 boxes honey chicken wings 2 boxes of nacho chips and a box of coleslaw, meaning we spent a lot.

This time, the boxes of chips were only half full - one of the boxes had seasoning and the other didn't.

The chicken had hardly any sauce and to taste you wouldn't be able to.tell which was soy and which was honey. Which is weird as in the past they always had strong flavours.

But the worst part, the coleslaw. Which is far from cheap, was just a few spoonfuls in the bottom.of the box, not even a quarter full. In the past we've had a good box full.

We're feeling thoroughly disappointed...

My friend did an order for four of us from this place through uber eats. We were aware the wait time was usually 45 minutes but did not mind as before the food had been very good(although typically not the correct order). However one hour later we were beginning to get impatient, one and a half hours later it was starting to become a joke. My friend rang multiple times finally someone picked up and said that they were only just boxing our order(so it’s not the complete fault of the delivery service). After this we had to wait about another 40 minutes to actually receive our food. When it arrived mine and one other meal was hot however the chips were not only undercooked but completely soaking to the point where they were pretty much mash. Not only this but the chicken made me and two others ill. One other meal was completely cold and we did not even receive a full refund. For the hefty price this is despicable very disappointed will not be ordering from here again and warn others...
