Misbah Tandoori Restaurant — Restaurant in Wales

A nice little restaurant tucked away on a little street in Monmouth that over looks the river on the opposite side of the road.

Both the staff and food were as equally amazing, with quick & friendly service. The menu contained a reasonably priced selection of colourful classics and new tastes to try out. The total meal for myself, partner and four year old came to £60 with poppadoms, naans and starters falling under this price. All of the dishes were very good portion size and served in good enough flow for you to let the starters go down before starting the mains.

The atmosphere was peacefully quiet with no loud music or background noise drowning out other people at your table.

This well kept, clean restaurant is definitely deserving of the five stars I'm giving it and we will definitely be returning as...

Food was good, but service was awful. I have eaten here in the past & was looking forward to taking my partner, so booked a table for 2 at 7pm last Friday for his birrhday. We arrived on time & the restaurant was packed & the only table for 2 was stuck out in the middle of the restaurant, by the counter & toilet door, not a great place to sit at all. We were seated with no menu given, we had to ask for a menu. We ordered starters & mains & we waited over 30 minutes to be told by the waiter that they has run out of onion baij's, which we had ordered for starters, so we reordered our starters & had to wait another 30 minutes for our new starter & then waited 15 minutes for our starter plates to be cleared away & to order...

Excellent restaurant. This was our first time eating at the Misbah, but it certainly won't be the last. We were welcomed by a very polite staff member and were given plenty of time to look at the menu, which had everything you could wish for. We ordered our food and drinks and were served very quickly. The food was superb, well presented and hot. The peshwari naan was particularly good, light and tasty. I had the Bangladesh special, lamb and spinach in a thick sauce, beautiful! My wife had a chicken dish which she really enjoyed. Previous reviews have said that the prices were a bit expensive, I thought we got great value for money.
